CHAPTER FOUR

THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST
One of the greatest mysteries in the Bible is the person of Jesus Christ. Many people know His name, celebrate His birth, and speak about His miracles, yet the full significance of who He is goes far beyond what human wisdom can comprehend.

Who is Jesus Christ? Why did He come into the world? And why is He central to God's plan for humanity?
The Bible gives us a remarkable answer:
“Great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh.”
— 1 Timothy 3:16 (KJV)

Christianity is therefore not merely about following moral instructions. At its heart, it is about knowing Jesus Christ, believing in Him, and receiving the life He offers.
Reflection
Who is Jesus Christ to you personally?
Do you know Him only through what others have said, or are you growing in your understanding of His Word?
How does His death and resurrection influence the way you live?
Jesus asked His disciples a question that remains important today:
“But whom say ye that I am?”
— Matthew 16:15 (KJV)

The mystery of Christ begins to unfold when we move beyond knowing His name and begin to understand His identity, His mission, and His place in God's plan of salvation.

THE UNTOLD MYSTERY

Part One: Discovering the Hidden Truths of God’s Word

THE MYSTERY OF GOD’S KINGDOM

The Kingdom of God is one of the greatest themes in the Bible, yet many people do not fully understand what it means. Some think of the Kingdom only as a place we will go after death. However, Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God is also connected to God's rule and authority.

Jesus declared:
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”— Mark 1:15 (KJV)

The mystery of the Kingdom begins with understanding that God is not merely interested in where we will spend eternity; He also desires that we live under His authority today.

The Kingdom Is God's Rule

A kingdom is associated with a king, and a king exercises authority over his kingdom. In the same way, the Kingdom of God speaks of God's sovereign rule, power, and authority.

When we surrender our lives to God, we acknowledge Him as our King. His Word becomes our guide, and His will becomes our priority.

The Kingdom Is More Than What We See

Jesus told the Pharisees:

“The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.”— Luke 17:20 (KJV)

He explained that the Kingdom was not coming in the way they expected. God's Kingdom cannot be understood merely through outward appearances. It concerns God's reign and His work among people.

This reminds us that spiritual realities cannot always be measured by physical things.

The Kingdom Requires a Response

Jesus did not only announce the Kingdom; He called people to repent and believe. Entering into a relationship with God requires a change of heart and a willingness to follow His ways.

We cannot claim to honour God as King while deliberately rejecting His instructions.

Hidden Truth

The mystery of the Kingdom is not simply about discovering a future destination. It is about recognizing God's authority, responding to His Word, and living according to His will.

CHAPTER TWO

THE MYSTERIES HIDDEN IN GOD’S WORD

The Bible is more than a collection of historical stories. It is the revelation of God's heart, His purpose, and His plan for humanity.

Some truths in Scripture are immediately clear, while others require deeper study and spiritual understanding. This is why two people can read the same passage and yet discover different levels of understanding.

Jesus often spoke in parables. When His disciples asked Him why, He explained that the knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom had been given to them.

“Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God.”
— Mark 4:11

This shows us that spiritual understanding is a gift from God.

There are mysteries concerning Christ, salvation, the Kingdom of God, the Church, faith, the resurrection, and God's eternal purpose. These mysteries are not meant to replace the simple message of the Gospel. Rather, they help us understand its greater depth.

However, discovering biblical mysteries requires humility. We should never force Scripture to say what it does not say. A true search for mystery must always remain connected to God's Word.

The more we study Scripture, the more we realize that there is always something deeper to discover.

The Bible does not become mysterious because God is confusing; it becomes mysterious because God's wisdom is deeper than human understanding.

Therefore, don't read the Bible only to finish a chapter. Read it to encounter truth.

Reflection

What truth in God's Word have you read many times but never truly understood?

Perhaps that question is where your own journey into the untold mysteries of God's Word begins.

THE UNTOLD MYSTERY
PART ONE
Discovering the Hidden Truths of God’s Word

CHAPTER ONE

WHAT IS A MYSTERY?
There are things we see every day but do not fully understand. In the same way, the Bible contains truths that may appear simple on the surface but carry deeper spiritual meaning.
The word “mystery” in Scripture does not necessarily mean something impossible to understand. It often refers to a truth that was once hidden but has been revealed by God.
Paul wrote:

“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom…”
— 1 Corinthians 2:7

God has always had purposes that human beings could not discover by their own wisdom. Some of these purposes were hidden for generations but were later revealed through Christ and the Holy Spirit.
One example is the mystery of Christ. The coming of Christ was spoken about in the Old Testament, but the full meaning of God's plan became clearer through His life, death, and resurrection.
This teaches us something important: God's Word contains depths that require more than simply reading the words.
We must study.
We must ask questions.
We must pray for understanding.
And we must allow the Holy Spirit to guide us.

The purpose of The Untold Mystery is therefore not to create strange theories, but to search the Scriptures and uncover truths that are often overlooked or misunderstood.

As we journey through this book, we will discover that sometimes the greatest mysteries are not hidden because God wants us to remain ignorant. They are hidden so that those who genuinely seek Him will discover them.
“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.”

— Proverbs 25:2
The mystery has begun......
