OGUNCCIMA COMMISERATES WITH THE OBELAWO FAMILY

On behalf of the Executive Council and the entire members of the Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, we extend our sincere condolences to the Obelawo family of Ejigbo, Osun State, on the passing of their revered patriarch, Chief Lawal Yusuf Obelawo. His passing at the age of 95 represents a significant loss not only to his family but also to the wider business and industrial community in Nigeria.

Chief Obelawo will be remembered as an exceptional entrepreneur whose vision and determination contributed immensely to the growth of Nigeria’s manufacturing sector. Through the establishment of Lawal Obelawo Plastic Pipe Industry Nigeria Limited, he demonstrated remarkable foresight and commitment to industrial development, particularly in the area of infrastructure and water distribution.

He was equally admired within the chamber movement and the organised private sector. His involvement in the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture reflected his dedication to strengthening the voice of the business community and promoting enterprise development across the country.

Chief Obelawo’s life remains a shining example of resilience, industry, and service to humanity. His achievements and contributions will continue to inspire generations of entrepreneurs and business leaders who seek to build and contribute to national progress.

As we mourn this great loss, we pray that Almighty God grants the Obelawo family the strength and comfort to bear this painful moment, and may the soul of Chief Lawal Yusuf Obelawo rest in perfect peace.
