𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐦𝐞

1. Avoid familiarity with parents. It has ruined many.

2. Avoid being too playful with students. If they see you as being too playful they'll never take you serious and it would cause you problems. You must have some level of firmness to be able to manage your classroom. It is a sign of incompetence if other teachers come to ask the students to stop making noise when you are in the class.

3. Mind your words when you address your students.

4. Carry yourself with pride. Dress well and smell nice. Make good hairs. This will give you an edge.

5. Even if you are poor, do not let your students think so, they will look down on you.

6. Never ask your students to lend you money, it is a step to downfall.

7. Do not join parents to speak bad of your school.

8. Do not gossip with your students.

9. Don't give assignments you can't mark.

10. Never eat your students food.

11. Prepare yourself before going for a class. It is a shameful thing for your students to keep correcting you in your own subject.

12. When a student ask you a question you don't remember it's answer, quickly throw it back to the class and afterwards tell them how important it is that they should know it. Make them take it home as an assignment. This will give you the chance to make research.

13. Quit that act of stopping over at parents house to charge your gadgets. In most cases it exposes you to ridicule.

14. Be professional about your home lessons; teach and get out of there it is not your home. Don't relax and watch television or even eat there, you are inviting disrespect.

15. Never let your students think you practice favouritism.

16. When any of your students is absent call his or her parents to enquire.

17. Master different teaching methods.

18. Finally, study your boss and master all that he/she considers work ethics.

I was at the hospital recently, and I saw how parents whose children were in critical conditions were patient with doctors and nurses. Everything they were told to do no matter how it sounded, they did. Go and buy these drugs, remove his shirts, carry him, and blah blah blah. The obedience ,the patience they exhibited with humility, was beyond me.
There was one whose child was convulsing, she was shouting at first, when the nurses shouted back at her ,they didn't even collect the boy from him,She eventually calmed her nerves, the next thing I heard was nurse, please now help me check this child don't let my effort concerning this child be a waste, I use God beg you. The nurse replied her " Madam, I can't collect the baby. The doctor is not on his seat ,you better remove his clothes, get a wet towel, and wipe the baby's body.

Even though the situations were not pleasant and i pray no parent will go through such,I learnt some lessons.
I saw parents who would go to their children schools and be shouting on the teachers who helped in correcting their children exercised a lot of patience even when the child was dying.
I saw parents who wouldn't allow school owners to talk before insulting him or her kept quiet even with the non challant attitudes and from the nurses.

I saw parents who would quickly change the school of their children whenever there was a small issue that stayed put even when the services rendered at the hospital were questionable.

They didn't show their social class, they didn't speak big english for nurses and doctors, they didn't rush to slap the rude nurses, they didn't rush to take the child to another hospital. They were humble and were silently praying for their children.

I made me wonder, are these the same parents we see in schools everyday?can parents do the same with school and teachers? Can they exercise patience and discuss with the school and teachers on the way forward about their wards?

A Tribute to Private Schools in Nigeria

I want to sincerely applaud private schools in Nigeria for the remarkable role they play in bridging the educational gap created by our ever growing population. At a time when the demand for quality education continues to rise, these schools have stood as pillars of support, ensuring that countless children have access to learning opportunities.
On a personal note, I remain deeply grateful because I am one of the beneficiaries of this noble effort. My teaching career began in a private school, and it was within those walls that I gained the foundation, experience, and confidence that continue to shape my journey today.
Private schools are not just filling gaps, they are shaping futures, nurturing teachers, and building leaders for tomorrow. For this, I celebrate every proprietor, teacher, and stakeholder who continues to invest in the growth of education in Nigeria.

"You can give your best, and still lose everything".

To every teacher and proprietor ---- let's remember that loyalty is the soul of education. Without it, we are building castles in the Sand

Cover The Syllable, Teach Fast, Learn Nothing

Every new term, the cr¥ echoes through the staff room:
“We must cover the syllabus!”

It sounds noble. It sounds responsible. It sounds like the right thing.
But beneath those four words lies a silent ma$$acre—of minds, of dreams, and of destinies.

A Nigerian teacher walks into class with a heart full of pressure and a head full of deadlines.
The chalk hasn’t touched the board before the principal shouts:
“Have you reached Week 3 topic?”

Nobody asks if the students understood Week 1.
Nobody checks if the students in SS2 can even read fluently.
Nobody cares that half the students are staring blankly, lost in a forest of confusion.

Because… we must cover the syllabus.

A child who still counts with fingers is being taught simultaneous equations.
A JSS2 student who can’t spell “because” is writing a 350-word essay.

And when they fail, we label them dull.
When they reb€l, we punish them.
When they cr¥, we ignore them.
Because… we must cover the syllabus.

Let me ask you, dear teacher:
Have you ever paused to ask,
“Who am I teaching, and what do they need?”
Or are you simply flipping through pages,
Rushing through topics like a machine programmed to “finish scheme”?

We are raising a generation that can recite definitions but cannot reason.
Students who can pass WAEC but can’t pass through life.
Children who have notebooks full of topics… and heads full of emptiness.

School owners boast about 100% syllabus coverage.
Parents boast about how fast their children “finished secondary school.”
Meanwhile, teachers are exhausted, students are traumatised, and real learning is bl€€ding to d€ath.

Why don’t we ever stop to say:
“Let’s cover the child before the syllabus”?
Why don’t we realise that understanding one topic is better than rushing ten?

Dish Duty: What children learn and why you should allow them.

Parents often keep children away from washing plates, thinking it’s “easier” to do it alone. But here’s the truth: washing dishes isn’t just about cleanliness; it’s a simple way to teach children important life skills!

Here’s why children are learning and mastering when they wash dishes:

1. Hands & Eyes Coordination: Scrubbing plates helps children practice hand-eye coordination, a skill they need for writing, drawing, and playing!

2. Stronger Fingers: Gentle scrubbing makes their fingers stronger, which helps with holding pencils and writing neatly.

3. Responsibility & Confidence: Finishing chores teaches children they’re part of the family team.

4. Patience Practice: Dirty dishes take time to clean. Learning to slow down helps them stay calm during tough tasks.

5. Understanding Space: Moving plates around the sink teaches them about size, weight, and how to move carefully.

6. Cleanliness Matters: Washing dishes shows children how to keep things germ-free and healthy.

7. Learning to Organize: Sorting plates and cups helps them practice tidying up, a skill they’ll use in school and life!

Letting children wash dishes isn’t just about chores, it’s giving them tools to grow smarter, kinder, and more capable. Next time dishes pile up, pass them a sponge and cheer them on!

They now make use of pens as B0Mb.

Pls let's be careful on what the children bring back home or touches always. Caution them not to take what is not theirs or stop them not to play with everything they see especially things they pick up from the ground.

Those children got exploded by a Pen B0Mb they found on the ground.

May evil be far away from us.
