This might be all we need to know to change our attitudes to our parents. This is a writeup on WAR AGAINST BEFITTING BURIAL

Let's Wage War against "befitting burial" (as it is so called) to encourage BEFITTING LIVING.

LETTER FROM LATE MOTHER TO HER SON - THREE DAYS AFTER HER BURIAL:

Dear Son,

I want to know why I died like a poor woman when I have a Son like you.

My Son, I wanted to bless you before I die, but now I have gone with my blessings.

My breakfast, my lunch and my dinner was one of my challenges when I was alive, but you spent money to cook all types of foods, meats and different types of drinks on my burial day.

My Son, you choose to spread and rubbed my dead body with costly fragrance when I was using groundnut oil as my favourite cream.

You dressed my Co**se with an expensive cloth when it was difficult to buy a wrapper for me.

When my Co**se was in the Mortuary you came to check on me from time to time, you care about my Co**se than when I was alive why?

The most painful thing is the kind of expensive coffin you put my Co**se when I was living in an uncompleted house.

When you were young I starved for you to eat and be satisfied, I wore one cloth in order to provide enough clothes for you. I thought you would take care of me when I grow old.

You completed the house, painted it and cleared the compound in one week just to celebrate my Co**se.

Now you wrote tribute to me saying "Mama, I love you so much rest in peace" - When I died with a broken heart.

Finally, my son, I wrote this to remind you that there is no other person that loves a child like a Father/mother.

May God forgive you.

A positive atmosphere nurtures a positive attitude, which (a positive attitude) is required to take positive action.

Go anywhere, take the risk, as long as it’s forward. Keep a smile on your face and keep a spring in your step. Turn every life situation into a positive one. Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create the fact. Don’t focus on negative things, instead, focus on the positive, and you will flourish.

Inspiration comes from within yourself. One has to be positive. When you’re positive, good things happen to you.
Surround yourself with positive people and you’ll be a positive person.

Virtually nothing is impossible in this world if you just put your mind to it and you can maintain a positive attitude to it.
It’s most important that you surround yourself with positivity always, and have positivity in your mind at all times. Flourishing is “when you experience positive emotions, positive psychological functioning and positive social functioning, most of the time". It is a descriptor and measure of positive mental health and overall life well-being.

Our highest calling in life is to thrive and flourish, and not just survive. During this incredibly challenging time, we must do our best to thrive. There will be times in your life when things simply have to be replaced because they are tired, broken, worn out, harmful, outdated, or irrelevant. Take an inventory of the things that no longer serve your best and highest good so you can replace them with things which do. Reconnect to what makes you happy and brings you Joy. If there is something that used to make you happy which you have stopped doing, do it again. Seek to find deeper meaning and significance rather than living on the surface.

Did you once have a grand plan which has become obsolete and no longer serves you? If there are areas in your life which must change to help you create better results, a redesign may be in order. Consider going back to the ‘drawing board’ to deconstruct what isn’t working and start anew.

Be a life-long learner. Whether you are seeking to achieve peace and harmony, learn a new technology to do your work faster, or design a strategy to blow your competitors out of the water, retraining is a pivotal way to strengthen your knowledge and realize your goals.
