[5:19] Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

[5:20] Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

[5:21] Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

📖THE MESSAGE👇👇

One of the simplest ways of describing and classifying a thing is by looking at its manifest characteristics. For instance, we can tell that something is a living thing if it exhibits most or all of the qualities of living things - respiration, growth, reproduction, feeding, dying, etc. When an object shows the clear distinctive of its group, there is no doubt in placing it rightly where it belongs.

In this context, Apostle Paul needed to make a clear distinction regarding those who are genuinely born again and those who are walking in the flesh. In the text, he gives an inexhaustible list of the evident characteristics of the flesh. The list leaves no one in doubt as to who is walking in the Spirit. Paul concluded that all those who show some or all of those traits will not inherit the kingdom of heaven.

The list here serves two explicit purposes for us. One, it makes us to know who we are and where we stand. It is impossible to claim to be a Christian walking in the Spirit and simultaneously manifest those traits of the flesh. Anyone who professes to be a Christian but still manifests works of the flesh is living in self-delusion. Two, it helps us to verify the claims of others. While we do not set out to condemn others, we can rightly classify them within our congregations and other Christian folds, know how to relate with and help them.

*THOUGH A BIT LENTHY BUT WORTH READING AND MEDIATING* Pls read to the end🙏

*"If a man die, shall he live again?*......." Job 14:14

This is one aspect of life most people don't understand. All they know is the present life we are all living here on earth; and the physical death that all are and must die if Jesus delayed His coming.

Yes a man, a woman according to the word of God, will die one day but that death marks the beginning of another existence or another life. HE or SHE SHALL LIVE AGAIN.
After a man, a woman, a boy, a girl dies he will live again either with God and His holy angels in Heaven or with the devil and all his demons in hell fire 🔥 How true is this statement?

We read in Luke 16:22-23 *"And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes,*(HE CLOSED HIS EYES IN DEATH AND OPENED THEM AGAIN IN A BURNING FIRE) *being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom."*

We have two personalities mentioned in the above passage... THE RICH MAN and LAZARUS. Both died but still lived. One in HELL FIRE, another in ABRAHAM'S BOSOM. There are qualifications for either of the place...Heaven and Hell.

To live in Heaven, it takes the new birth in Christ. *"..... EXPECT A MAN BE BORN AGAIN HE CANNOT SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD"* (John 3:3) to be born again is to have a change of life, direction, and relationship with God and the world and sin. Total and genuine repentance from sins). It will also take a holy living *"....WITHOUT HOLINESS NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD"* (Hebrews 12:14) and separation from the world and all it's evil practices (1John 2:15, 2Corinthians 6:14-18)

*To do otherwise, is to live in hell fire that burns with brimstone (Revelation 21:8) all through eternity with torment, weeping and gnashing of teeth and there is no rest, no peace day and night for the occupants of hell fire*🔥

In Revelation 14:11, we are told *"AND THE SMOKE OF THEIR TORMENT ASCENDETH UP FOR EVER AND EVER: AND THEY HAVE NO REST DAY NOR NIGHT,."*....Revelation 14:11
