There's no gainsaying the fact that Nigeria is a country with great potential. Name it! Is it natural or human resources? The country is gifted with talented and people of high intellect(cerebral).
It's however unfortunately that Nigeria,which was hitherto predicted with the capacity of being a Super Power soon after independence in 1960, has overtime slipped into the present pitiable state.
But rather than bemoan the fate of the nation or engage in the usual blame game, this page will henceforth be devoted to finding solutions to the country's myriads of problem, using the approach of solution journalism.
Comments are welcome from all quarters first on the appraisal of the challenges before proferring solutions.
All contributors are expected to be civil and patriotic in their submissions.
The ultimate motive is to look inwards, in saving Nigeria from further slide.

More often than not,the leaders and government get the stick for the ills and the rot in society, over which they have no control.
The value system has been so much eroded today that honesty is a heinous crime.
The poser is, in our individual capacity, how impactful,honest, truthful, sincere, dedicated and patriotic are we, to Nigeria?
Many engage in age falsification today among other unwholesome practices in public and private sectors including sports to the detriment of the nation,because of the unknown.
If premium is placed on money, wealth, power and fame at the expense of merit, excellence, hardwork,justice and equity, the consequences couldn't have been better than what play out today in our nation.
But beyond lamentations and engaging in blame game, let's take responsibility at the unit/individual level.
To save our dear country is a joint task.
Remember that, nothing built on falsehood or dishonesty, stands the test of time.

That the public service might soon go into extinction as it currently attracts few highly intelligent, ever dynamic,gifted and high flyers.
Could it be a deliberate plan and calculated attempt by the political class and indeed, successive administrations to strip the service of brilliant and highly cerebral ones?
