IMPORTING FROM TURKEY PART TWO

HOW SOON DOES YOUR GOODS ARRIVE IN YOUR COUNTRY?

Estimated time of arrival for shipments from Turkey to any country is usually 4 to 6 days counting from the day the shipping company receives the goods.

All shipping companies send out goods on Monday. Goods usually arrive on Thursdays/Fridays.

The process of buying and shipping from Turkey is faster than that of China and USA.

Exchange rate of turkey suppliers is in US dollars

BUYING PROCESS

• Orders are been Placed through the supplier's WhatsApp or through your shipping agent.

• Conclude on the items you want to buy. Your supplier will send you an invoice with the amount you paying.

• You will be given a Nigerian bank Accout. Pay the equivalent of the cost of your goods in Naira OR you can pay through Western Union.

• Send proof of payment to your supplier or shipping agent depending on who you bought from and the name.

• After your shipper has received the goods, he will let you know.

• Ask your supplier to label your goods with your name and phone number

• Get the warehouse address of the shipping company in Turkey and send to your supplier. Your supplier will send your goods to the address

• The received goods is shipped down to your country.

• Once your shipment arrives, you will be sent a message to pick up at the shipping company's address in your country.

• You pay your shipping fee at the point of collection

HOW TO IMPORT GOODS FROM TURKEY

Turkey is an European country that maintains high quality standard in their production, whatever you buy from Turkey, be rest assured that it will be a top quality product.

One great thing about Turkey made products is their top quality, so do not expect their prices to be as low as China made products.

However, there's a major challenge in Turkey Importation which is language barrier as most of them communicate in Turkic languages.

Also, Turkish wholesalers and dealers don’t have a unified, organized online website platform like China and USA where people can go to buy Turkish made products at wholesale price. Though they have some online wholesale shops, but they are not as robust and organized as China and USA.
But they have wholesale dealer websites where you can place an order and also some shipping agents to help you deliver your product to your country.

Unlike China and USA, that has a lot of Sites we can shop from.
Turkey importation involves two different groups

1. Wholesale suppliers
2. Shipping agents

Turkish manufacturer’s always sell their items in sets and bundles of different sizes

They call it a serie.

In order to get wholesale prices, buyers have to buy in Series.

Each design of an item has from 5- 8 pieces in a serie. A serie consist of different sizes.

You cannot select just one size of an item in a serie. You have to select all sizes.

For example , if you are buying a dress, each dress design comes in a serie which 1 serie contains 4- 6 different sizes.
