⚠️ A Faulty Breaker Can Cause Serious Damage!

This issue was traced to a faulty breaker located close to the equipment.

Sometimes, when a solar/inverter system develops a fault, the problem may not necessarily be from the inverter or battery itself. A bad, loose, undersized, or damaged breaker can create abnormal electrical conditions and affect other components in the system.

🔧 This is why proper protection and installation matter.

Always ensure that:
✅ Breakers are properly rated for the load
✅ Quality protection devices are used
✅ Connections are properly tightened
✅ Breakers are inspected during maintenance
✅ Faulty breakers are replaced immediately

🔋 HOW TO PARALLEL 2 FELICITY 17.5kWh LITHIUM BATTERIES TO WORK AS ONE

When you have two 17.5kWh Felicity lithium batteries and want them to operate together as one battery bank, proper installation and communication are very important.

Here are some key steps to consider:

✅ Ensure both batteries are the same model, voltage and capacity.

✅ Confirm that the batteries have compatible BMS communication for parallel operation.

✅ Before connecting them together, ensure both batteries are at a similar state of charge and voltage.

✅ Use properly sized battery cables and keep the cable lengths as equal as practical to ensure proper current sharing.

✅ Use a suitable DC busbar/distribution system where required, rather than forcing multiple high-current cables onto a single terminal.

✅ Connect the batteries according to the manufacturer's parallel/BMS communication wiring diagram.

✅ Configure the master and slave battery settings correctly if the battery model requires it.

✅ Ensure the inverter is configured for the combined battery capacity and the correct lithium communication protocol.

⚠️ Safety first: 35kWh of lithium storage can deliver very high DC current. Use the correct breakers/fuses, isolators, cable sizes and termination methods. Always follow the manufacturer's installation manual.

Two 17.5kWh batteries = 35kWh total storage capacity, when correctly paralleled.

This is one of those installations where getting the BMS communication and DC protection right is just as important as the battery connection itself.
