This week, the Freee Impact Foundation visited NUD Primary School and IDC Primary School in Ibadan, Oyo State, with school bags, sandals, and a simple but powerful message: the future can be better when we care for people and the planet together. ♻️

As we spoke with the children about recycling and sustainability, we were reminded that real impact begins with hope, knowledge, and the next generation. 🌍

Throwback to last year’s Freee Art Residency, a space where creativity, sustainability and experimentation came together.
Residents explored the possibilities of recycled materials, transforming discarded tyres and industrial waste into meaningful artistic expressions. Programs like this continue to show how circular thinking can inspire innovation beyond the factory floor.

We remain proud of the artists and grateful to the mentors and collaborators who made the residency a truly impactful experience. ♻️

April was busy.

Truckloads of worn-out tyres came in and we got to work.
Cutting, shredding, separating… over and over again.

The work is repetitive, but the impact of diverting significant volumes of waste and converting them into reusable materials cannot be overstated.
