How those Jehova Witnesse itinerant preachers handles rejection, I think is a subject that needs to be studied in Harvard...
My goodness..
They're always smiling...
And sometimes, even when you object, they'll still find a way around your objection to subtly engage you and before you know it, they've started pitching their message, unknowingly to you π...
Let me say this: if you're a marketer or salesperson: one of the key area you must contend to build your strength around, is in your ability to handle rejection and objection.
Many salespeople give up their career because of rejection.
In fact, the underlying reason why many hates sales is because of rejection. The fear of rejection.
But can I tell you something?
Rejection is part and parcel of life.
The truth is that, not everybody will like you even if you're selling Ice-cream.
More often than not: most rejection is not true.
In many instances, most rejection is just the prospect telling you, I don't know you and can't trust you to give you my money.
Have you you not seen some ladies at first when you approach them, they'll slamm you down but as you persist, you'll notice they'll start opening up and smiling with you?
The same thing goes with sales.
You've got to persist with your customers.
You've got to accept rejection as part and parcel of the game. And handle it with firmness, without losing your poise.
Never take rejection personal. Because you know what?
The person who rejected you doesn't even know you.
At every point of rejection, always know that it's not you that's being rejected but your offers.
You've got to separate your personality from your product.
NEVER TAKE REJECTION PERSONAL
Be courageous. It takes courage to win in life.
Your Confidence As a Salesperson, is PRICELESS.
Well,
Until I write to you again..remain blessed π.
