Innovation lives here!*

On Thursday, 4th September 2025, the Annual Faculty Based Venture Creation Competition for Year 3 Students in Rivers State University was held.

Each team represented their faculty with passion, and the atmosphere was electric as ideas came to life on stage. The competition became even more inspiring when the winners of last year’s edition returned to share their journey. During this year’s program, they also received their cash prizes and certificates, a reminder that innovation doesn’t just win applause , it earns real support.

This year, new champions emerged from the faculties of Engineering, Medical Science, and Mass Communication claimed the top spots. They were honored with awards, certificates, and cash prizes to further fuel their innovative journeys.
The joy and excitement from the students showed how much impact the competition had. Beyond the winners, every participant left motivated and energized to keep building their ideas.

At EICL, we don’t just empower students. We also deliver entrepreneurship and innovation training for company personnel, teachers, and professionals, ensuring that creativity and problem-solving thrive at every level of society.

The 2025 Venture Creation Competition was more than an event , it was a movement of possibilities, passion, and future leaders in the making.

Day 4 was the final day. It was a very colourful and eventful day. The discussions focused on the successful Entrepreneur, with insights into the Entrepreneurial framework and five action areas. We dived into the excellent organization providing a structured approach to Entrepreneurial success. We also discussed developing skills for leading others, adapting leadership styles and enhancing interpersonal connections.

The session concluded with ‘The view from the Mountain’ inspiring participants to adopt a broad perspective on leadership, team dynamics, and their impact on organizational success.

The Result of all activities and presentations were announced for the different Teams. Team EGYPT was the best performing Team , all other groups did very well. Group pictures were taken for the different Teams and certificates and personal colour mats were handed over to all participants. It was an interesting 4 Days capacity building workshop.

Day 3 continued with analyzing team dynamics, including the necessity of teams, team definitions and the four dysfunctions that commonly hinder effectiveness.

The lead facilitator Mr Victor Diali discussed recognising the impact of color energies in team settings with discussions on the four pillars of Teamwork. It was really exciting. Managing team conflicts and participating in team bonding exercises allowed for the practical application of team work principles.

Day 2 was a Blast.
There was a deeper dive into four dimensions. Participants were divided into 10 different teams. Team Tanzania, Team South Africa, Team Ghana, Team Senegal , Team Rwanda, Team Zambia, Team Kenya, Team Tunisia, Team Ethiopia and Team Egypt .
Dimension 1: Focused on the journey of self discovery, helping participants understand their attributes.
Dimension 2: Examined the power of perception, encouraging attendees to reflect on how they are viewed by others.
Dimension 3: Explored strengths and weaknesses with activities for unlocking potential.
Dimension 4: Emphasized setting personal goals to reach full potential, reinforcing the value of growth and goal -setting.

For all the different dimensions discussed, there were a lot of interesting group activities and presentations.

This week in Port Harcourt, we had the privilege of taking NCDMB Project 100 Beneficiary companies on a 4-day capacity building exercise for increased personal effectiveness, emotional intelligence, and productivity through colours as Clarity4D Partner organization.

The course framework is designed to build/improve the mind of the leadership, personnel/workforce from tactical to systematic focusing on things that move the dial as part of NCDMB's continuous commitment towards building local capacity.

Mr Jonathan Njoku of the Research and Development Directorate of the Board (NCDMB) in his opening remark encouraged the participants to take the training seriously so that they would be able to get the full benefits of the training.
The training kicked off with an introduction of the Clarity4D’s framework, the Greek elements, and four-color energies by Mr Victor Diali , Clarity4D Nigeria lead Facilitator. Participants explored accountability behaviour and the dynamics of delegation , setting the stage for deeper self - awareness and self discovery.
