Bonny Kingdom came alive at the Famous Ikuba Nungo Square as Her Royal Highness, Queen Paula Tamunoipirinye Pepple, was ceremonially honoured during her Iria rite, a revered cultural tradition that underscores maturity, pride, purity, heritage and royal identity among the Ibani people of Eastern Ijaw land.

The historic event drew an impressive convergence of royalty, chiefs and cultural custodians, reflecting the enduring values and pageantry of the ancient Bonny Kingdom. The celebration reached a colourful peak with the presence of His Royal Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, Perekule XI, Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Bonny Kingdom, whose appearance further affirmed the sacred significance of the Iria ceremony.

Adding to the grandeur was Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, Executive Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, alongside Se-Alapus(Country Chiefs), members of the royal household and invited guests, who took to the dance floor in a symbolic display of unity, honour, solidarity and cultural pride in celebration of the Queen’s special day.
