The President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), Dr. Chinyere Nwoga, has described the successful hosting of the 66th Annual General Meeting and Conference of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) as a landmark achievement that has elevated PHCCIMA's national profile and reinforced Rivers State's status as a leading investment destination.

Speaking at the close of the four-day conference in Port Harcourt, Dr. Nwoga said hosting the AGM for the first time in PHCCIMA's 69-year history marked a defining moment for the Chamber. She thanked NACCIMA for choosing Rivers State, noting that the conference theme, "The Gulf of Guinea and the Blue Economy: Pathways to Trade, Investment and Security Towards a $1 Trillion Economy," highlighted vast opportunities in maritime trade, ports, fisheries, logistics, tourism and renewable energy.

She stressed that unlocking the blue economy requires strategic investment, improved infrastructure, maritime security and stronger public-private collaboration, reaffirming that Rivers remains open for investment in manufacturing, agriculture, logistics, technology, tourism, real estate and maritime services.

Representing Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Deputy Governor Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu reaffirmed the state's commitment to private sector-led growth, describing the blue economy as a major economic driver capable of surpassing oil revenues. She assured investors that Rivers remains safe and business-friendly.

NACCIMA President, Engr. Dr. Jani Ibrahim, commended the Rivers State Government and PHCCIMA for the excellent organisation and hospitality. He said Rivers possesses enormous maritime and aquaculture potential capable of driving inclusive economic growth and urged delegates to explore its investment opportunities.

Chairman of the occasion and President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Senator John Azuta Mbata, praised Dr. Nwoga's leadership and officially launched PHCCIMA's flagship publication, Commerce Port Harcourt magazine.

Delegates also attended a welcome dinner, courtesy visit to the Amanyanabo of Port Harcourt Kingdom, Eze Epara Rebisi XII, Cultural Night, industrial tour of Bonjour Bakery and a Gala Night.
