Gov. Mai Mala Buni pays condolence visit to Maiduguri
Mai Mala Buni, the governor of Yobe State has on Wednesday, paid a condolences visit to the families of ambassador Bunu Sheriff, who died on Monday at University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital
This was obtained in a statement by Hussaini Mai Suleh the press secretary to the Deputy Governor of the state
He said, the governor described ambassador Bunu, as a great leader who lived a humble life.
late Bunu was an administrator and engineer who served as a federal minister of power and steel during the regime of Gen. Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, and also served as the nigerian ambassador to france. He said
The governor was represented by his deputy, Idi Barde Gubana who extended condolences of the government and good people of Yobe state to the Borno state government as well as the bereaved family
Special prayers were offered by the special adviser on religious affairs, ustas Babagana kyari, for Allah to grand them Aljannah Firdausi.
The Deputy Governor, was accompanied by the Head of civil service, members of the Yobe state house of Assembly, Hon. Commissioners, special Advisers, as well as permanent secretaries and other top government officials.
