Job Description:
iTropics Geo-Intelligence Company Limited ("iTropics") is seeking diligent and detail-oriented Data Enumerators to join our team for a crucial data collection project across the 20 LGAs in Lagos. The successful candidates will be responsible for gathering, recording, and reporting data on retail businesses in the area to support Sabi's Retailer Onboarding Project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct field surveys and collect accurate data on retail businesses in designated Enumeration Areas (EAs).
• Record details such as Business Owner Name, Business Owner Number, Gender, Business Name, Business Number, Business Address, and other key attributes.
• Capture geotagged photos of both the inside and outside of the stores.
• Adhere to data collection protocols, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Report daily to the field supervisors with updates and feedback on data collection progress.
• Ensure the synchronization of collected data into the geodatabase as required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of data collection activities.
Requirements:
Education: Minimum of OND/HND or Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Geography, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience in data collection, field surveys, or related roles is preferred.
Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Proficiency in using mobile data collection tools (e.g., GeoODK, KoboToolbox) is desired or willingness to learn.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the geographical layout of Lagos LGAs is an advantage.
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work full-time for the duration of the project.
- Willingness to travel within Lagos.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
