. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PORTFOLIO AND POLAROID
Modeling Digitals(also known as POLAROIDS) are natural images of what a model currently looks like. Multiple shots of a model are taken to show his/ her looks from various angles, to give the client or agency an accurate representation of the model's current look without heavy makeup or image editing.
DIGITALS are set of image that are shot in front of a plain white wall with natural light. They cannot be edited or manipulated. DIGITALS should clearly show a model's skin, face,eyes, hair and figure.
WHAT ARE POLAROIDS USED FOR?

Polaroids are used to send to the client to see how the models really are, without makeup, without their hair done and without no changes. They have to be PURE.
HOW TO TAKE YOUR OWN MODELING POLAROIDS.

Do not wear no makeup whatsoever.
Put your hair up or pull it back into a pony tail so that your jaw line and cheekbones are well depicted.
Do not retouch the images in any way. Pimples and blemishes are fine anyway. Try and avoid flash photography( turn your camera flash light off).

HOW TO TAKE THE BEST SELFIE WITH YOUR CAMERA.

Make sure you are in the right setting. Your picture background matters, and is just as important as the subject and the foreground.
Frame the picture well...
Lastly, show off your favourite poses.

Everything listed here is just the opposite of "PORTFOLIO"

Modeling may seem easy and glamorous but that is by no means a reality. It will take a lot of commitment from you to become a model. You'll have to maintain a diet, fitness and beauty regimen , even when you are having a dry spell and not booking work. Are you willing to do 12hrs photoshoot in freezing and windy conditions while still getting the shoots and not complaining??.
