When your heart is filled with so much excitement and expectations on how this year will be your business's best year yet

But deep down you have no idea how to make it happen.

Because you're about to repeat the same old marketing approach you used last year that brought you inconsistent sales

I want to show you five things you must change in your business to guarantee consistent sales this year with your content.

-Not Having An Actual Content Strategy To Follow Through In Your Marketing

Gone are the days of posting any and every random idea that comes to mind with no clear strategy and roadmap to know where it's leading your business to

You can't be posting and hoping for sales in 2025, get strategic, audit your content from the previous year, and identify what worked, what didn't work, and what can be done better.

Set a clear goal for your content and create content that moves you towards achieving those goals.

-Not Creating A Clear Offer To Promote:
Maybe you don't know this but I will tell you for free, sales won't come because you're showing up.

People buy because they UNDERSTAND what they're paying for and how it SOLVES their PROBLEMS.

Stop waiting for customers to come to you and you'll customize solutions based on their individual needs, this isn't sustainable, create your offers based on your customers' problems and consistently promote them.

-Inconsistency In Communicating Your Message In Your Content

It's not enough to be called a branding coach, what outcome do you get your customers when they work with you to build their brand?

Communicate how you help them achieve that consistently in your content.

-Unkept Profile and Endless Tags
You have no idea how many of your potential customers visit your profile without your knowledge

How organized or disorganized your profile looks can make or break their buying decisions

Beyond creating great content, people want to do business with someone they can trust

-Unsolicited Gossip and hot takes about celebrities

This one is my biggest irk with business owners.

Like why are you spending your time on other people's life?

Your hot takes will not get you, customers,

Your hot takes will not pay your bills.

You might end up repelling your potential customers because of endless gossip and hot takes.

Unless you're a blogger making money from blogging, you have no business giving hot takes about other's life when it adds nothing to your business or customer's life.

When you change and fix these 5 things you'll be able to have your best content marketing and sales year.

Look out for all five and make changes where necessary.

Have you ever come across a post that you couldn't scroll past, and though you didn't have time you saved it or copied the link to go back to it later?

WHY was that?

You could relate to the post.

When you ask a relatable question that hits their current struggle or curiosity, they will likely stick around for the solution.

Don't overthink it, here's an example you can swipe

Example: โ€œAre you tired of posting every day and getting zero engagement? Let me show you how to change that.โ€

Right off the start, your audience knows this post is for them and what to expect and will likely read on to find out how.

Example: โ€œLast week, I posted about my product, and instead of customers, it was my friends dropping jokes in the comments. I felt embarrassed, but here's how I turned it aroundโ€ฆโ€

Boom! Now theyโ€™re hooked because they can see themselves in that situation.

THE PERFECT CONTENT STRATEGY TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS IN 2024

First thing first, understand why you are creating content for your business
No, I donโ€™t mean the top of my head โ€œIโ€™m creating content to be seenโ€

Be specific.

โžก๏ธ In order words, start with a GOAL(s)

โ€œIf we fail to define what our goals are from the beginning, our content creation efforts will lack directionโ€ Laura Busche

Break your goals down into quarterly, monthly, and weekly goals

Example:
Your 2024 content marketing goal is to generate 500 signups to your course organically
500 signups divided by 4 quarters in a year = 125 signups each quarter
125 signups in a quarter divided by 3 months in a quarter = 42 signups each month
42 signups in a month divided by 4 weeks in a month = 11 signups per week

Your goal can also be to get 2k email subscribers
More followers(a specific number of followers), more engagement, etc

Donโ€™t overthink it, be specific with what you are aiming for, and align your content and actions towards achieving that goal

โžก๏ธ Make your OFFERS align with your goals
Your offers are the specific products, services, and freebies (lead magnets) you will be promoting that will help you achieve your goals

This can be your courses, DFY services, free webinars, etc
No pressure, just have something you can point people to when they come to you from your content

โžก๏ธ Create CONTENT that aligns with your offer and goals
The goal of your content is to communicate with your ideal clients what you do and how you can help them get the results they desire

Make your content the answers to the pressing questions they have, debunk the misconceptions they have about your services(shift their beliefs), show them how you can help them(show don't tell), and lead them toward your DM

โžก๏ธ Remember itโ€™s not enough to create the right content you must be connected with the right people for them to see and consume your content, so send friend requests consistently to this set of people(ideal clients 90%, competitors 10%)

โžก๏ธ Donโ€™t forget that the DM is your safe space, start a convo with your new connections, and make it about them not you or what you have to offer.

Break the Ice in the DM, so when they come across your content on their feed, theyโ€™ll feel connected to you already

Take advantage of your content pillars and buckets to come up with relevant content ideas that align with your goals and offer quickly.

Consistently using my content pillars and buckets has helped me create and manage content for my clients and my business with ease.

โžก ๏ธ Your ideal clients are looking for you as much as you are for them, optimize your profile to attract and retain their attention.
Remember effective content marketing is all about doing the RIGHT things consistently

4ร— SMART ways to get your audience to read your post

CALL THEM OUT
Calling your target audience out at the beginning of your post will encourage them to stick around and read the next sentence.

E.g: Dear Web developer
โ€ข Why you're struggling with your e-commerce business etc

MAKE IT EASY TO READ AND UNDERSTAND

The easier you make your post to be read the better for you.

space out where necessary
Use bullet points/numbers
Write in simple English
Tell a story etc

WRITE ACTIONABLE CONTENT

Make your content the type your audience comes across and learn something new they can apply immediately.

No fluff, real value.

USE A CLEAR CALL TO ACTION.

Let your audience know the next thing they ought to do and let it be something simple to do.

People don't have time, don't use 3 to 4 calls to action, if not they'll end up not doing any.

Then everyone around you starts to get on your last nerves.

And you start to wonder where you went wrong.

You asked for it, remember?

That's exactly what happens when you wish to create better content.

You must be out there to accept the critics, the bad feedback.

Just as you can't know for sure how patient you can be without the people around you testing it.

You can't know how good you can become with your content without the feedback and you can't get the feedback without creating the content.

Go out and create that content, gather the feedback and do better.
