Steps in mouth make up/ applying lipstick
Step No 1 – Prep your lips to create a smooth base. This will help lipstick run effortlessly and spread on your lips evenly. Use soft sugar scrub to get rid of any dry skin on your lips to make them soft and velvety. We will tell you how to make home made lip scrub here
Step No 2 – Nourish your lips with some lip balm. You can use Vaseline as well or any cream with rich texture. This step will also help the lipstick spread evenly and not get into those little cracks you get when your lips are super dry and chapped.
Step No 3 – Powder your lips! This is a very important step. Apply a little bit of translucent setting powder onto your lips. This will make your lipstick really stick, prevent the color from migrating outside of your lip line and last longer throughout the day, which is obviously a bonus
Step No 4 – If you want your lips to look perfect, always use a lip liner. Some pros recommend using a lip liner as close to your lip color as possible and some say the liner color should be the same as that of the lipstick of your choice. We would say try the first option as it will look more natural. Find one that really matches your lip color.
Step No 5 – Lipstick finally! Apply lipstick (with a lip brush, preferably) to the cupids bow area first and then to the outer corners and bottom of the lip.
Step No 6 – Here are two options that you can go for. You can either repeat
step No 3 with powdering your lips or, as we recommend, blot your lips lightly with a piece of paper or a tissue. The trick you can use here is to place the tissue right between your lips and press them against each other. This is a crucial step to keep your lipstick on.
Step No 7 – Apply lipstick again, i.e. repeat step No 5
Step No 8 – Finally, clean up any areas outside the lip line with concealer (a lip brush will help to be more precise). You can also use a Q-tip and makeup remover. You are good to go
