LETS TALK ABOUT IRONING.

How well do you iron clothes when sewing.
Ironing is an essential part of tailoring, in fact it's a topic on it's own.
As a beginner, train yourself on using the iron when sewing.
Do not adopt the lazy system of "I'll iron everything after sewing"
Your work comes out neater when you iron as you sew.
It will help to give your work precision by revealing bulge and excess Fabrics where not needed.

There are different precesses of ironing

1. Dry ironing:- this is good for cotton fabrics,

2. Steam ironing:- this is best for rayons, polyesters, satin, silk, chiffon.

3. Masked ironing:- in this process you have to spread a piece of fabric over the area you want to iron, best for rubber-like fabrics, when you do this, the heat of the iron does not affect the fabric by melting the thread. So the fabric retain it's texture.

Ironing can be tiring, but if you train yourself with it while learning, it becomes a part of you.
Make sure your ironing table is not so far from your sewing machine. That way you won't feel bordened by going up and down.

Present your customers cloths properly ironed.
Sometimes, major faults could be overlooked as an error, if you present the job neatly.
