Businesses are suffering!

There are so many challenges we are faced with as entrepreneurs, and it only appears to be getting tougher by the day.

- Increase in expenses.
- Profit margins have been eroded by inflation.
- Supply chain disruptions.
- Rising inflation rates.
- Access to capital.

These are just some of the things that have forced some to close down their businesses, and many more on the brink of doing so, because the pressure and tension is much.

Of course, the goal of every business owner is to win (make profit), but today, this is a mirage for many.

How do you continue to cope?
What's the way out?
What can you to handle this situation and manage the losses you're experiencing?

What do you need to do to drive customer satisfaction in your business?

See, gone are the days when customers will settle for low quality products or mediocre service.
In addition to wanting to get their money's worth which they truly deserve, they know they've got options; there's your competition waiting to serve them as well.

So they measure how happy you can make them, and do not hesitate to run to your competitor if indeed you fail to make them happy.

This was the crux of the discussion at the training session I facilitated yesterday for some frontline staff at BSH themed 'Best Practices That Drive Customer Satisfaction'.

With the insight gained, I trust that this team is now uniquely positioned for improved customer service, organizational excellence and growth.

Enough about me and your customers, let's talk about you!

I had a huge craving for Shawarma yesterday.
I mentioned and hubby was game, so shawarma we were gonna have.

Now, in this big city, he only eats shawarma from one spot. Since I've known him, it's been shawarma from there or nowhere else.
Talk about customer loyalty, but that's story for another day!

"Go get ready" he said.
I responded, "please give me a few minutes let me just schedule these emails".

After 10minutes...
Hubby: Babe, let's go o!
Me: Just a few more minutes please. I'm almost done.

I finally rise up, and waltz into the room saying 'let me look for something to wear'.
And yes, you guessed right, that took a while!
Tried on at least four different outfits before eventually settling for a boubou, after all it was evening, and just to go buy shawarma.

When we got to the shawarma place, the doors were shut. I didn't want to accept what I saw, so I went knocking, hoping someone would hear me. But Fam, they were closed!!!

Le boo didn't vex o! Not at all!
Why vex when it wasn't him who had the craving? ๐Ÿคฃ
I'm still vexing, not at me for wasting time of
course, but the shawarma folks who had closed before I got there.๐Ÿ™„

You're probably judging me now, and that's fine. But, before you judge me, ask yourself, aren't you guilty of this as well?

You've been hearing me talk about since 2023, but you kept dragging your feet, saying you'd join in the new year.
Now, we are in the year, and you're saying 'I'll join next month".

You know why I'm laughing? The doors will be close like the Shawarma spot because today, January 03, 2024 is our official resumption date.
We'll be onboarding our new members today.

As soon as the pilot made the announcement that they were experiencing a turbulence, the passengers began to panic. They began to pray... First in hushed tones, but the tempo increased as the panic heightened.
Aware of his responsibility to ensure their safety, he ascended to a safe and smooth altitude. And so he cruised until he landed the plane safely.
All passengers applauded him in gratitude before they disembarked.

Okay, let me admit... My imagination ran wild for a minute. Frequent flyer behavior๐Ÿ˜
But since you've read to this point, and I've still got your attention, permit me to ask...

It's about two days to the end of December, how are you landing? Were you able to navigate and control the turbulences that occurred throughout the year?
Will you be able to applaud yourself for making great sales in your business, and preventing it from crashing?
Will your passengers (customers๐Ÿ˜‰) applaud you for an amazing product and excellent service delivered?

You don't have to answer me.
Just read the questions out loud to yourself, and answer them honestly.

It's pertinent that you do, because your take off into 2024 is hugely dependent on how you land today.

You see those ladies that work at the restrooms at our local airports? I've had just about enough of them.
Somebody's child can't even p*e in peace o, jeez!

"Aunty, welcome!" (to the bathroom o, like it's a 5-star restaurant)

Take tissue. (stretching out to roll out toilet paper to you)

No, don't use that one, use this one. (Like you can't see the door is shut, and can't knock to see if it's occupied)

Aunty, anything for us? (Like they are not there to do their jobs)

Aunty, find us something, God will bless you. (Shey there's something that brought me to the restroom! Can't I do it in peace before engaging in unnecessary small talk while inhaling tinz?)

And when you don't play ball, you can feel their eyes piercing through your skin.

If some employees know how much disrepute they bring to their employers' business, and realize they they wouldn't have a job if the business goes under, they wouldn't do the crazy things they do.

But, you the employer, why sit comfortably and let people ruin your business?
No spot checks? No employee watch? No customer survey? No penalties for misconduct?

My dear business people, you might roll your eyeballs now and join me to complain about these ladies, but do you have any measures in place to combat employee misconducts like these? Be honest, do you?

Sometimes the low patronage you complain about is not necessarily because your target customers don't like your product or don't want to patronize you. It's the experience with your business that determines the sale.

Why am I even teaching you stuff some of the things we'll be unlearning, learning and relearning in the Accelerate Your Sales Academy? Lemme chill patiently till January 3rd, 2024 when we start activities.
