🌟 MEET OLMAN SAUCEDA 🌟

Olman Sauceda is a dedicated coffee producer from Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, renowned for his commitment to quality and sustainable farming practices. As the owner of Finca Altiplano, one of his five small farms near Dipilto, Olman has been cultivating exceptional specialty coffees since 2018.

Situated at elevations between 1,650 and 1,700 meters above sea level, Finca Altiplano benefits from the region’s rich volcanic soil and favourable microclimate. Olman cultivates a diverse range of coffee varieties, including Caturra, Pacamara, Geisha, Java, and Parainema. His dedication to experimentation and innovation is evident in his extensive variety garden, where he meticulously evaluates different cultivars to enhance quality and resilience. 🌿✨

Beyond cultivation, Olman has taken full control of the post-harvest process with his own processing mill, Beneficio Elite. This facility allows him to oversee every stage of coffee production, ensuring the highest level of quality and consistency in his final product. His hands-on approach to fermentation, drying, and storage reflects his deep understanding of coffee processing and his drive to push boundaries in specialty coffee. 🔬🔥

In 2021, Olman’s expertise was recognized at the national level when he served as a National Jury member for the Cup of Excellence Nicaragua, highlighting his role as a leader in the country’s coffee industry. 🏆☕

MEET RODRIGO CASTELLANOS 🌿☕

Rodrigo Castellanos is a new-generation coffee producer from Dipilto, Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, bringing a fresh perspective to specialty coffee cultivation. A graduate of the prestigious El Zamorano Pan-American Agricultural School, Rodrigo combines his agronomic expertise with a hands-on approach to elevate the quality of his coffee. 🌱📚

Though his family has owned Finca La Castiza for only three years, they have quickly established themselves as dedicated producers in the region. Initially starting with traditional processing methods, Rodrigo and his team have gradually incorporated innovative fermentation and drying techniques to enhance their coffee’s complexity and cup quality year after year. 🔬☕

Nestled in the lush highlands of Dipilto, Finca La Castiza benefits from an ideal microclimate and nutrient-rich soils, providing the perfect environment for specialty coffee production. Rodrigo’s focus on experimentation and refinement has allowed him to push boundaries, continuously improving processing techniques to bring out the best in each harvest. 🌄🌾

With a strong foundation in agricultural science, a passion for innovation, and a commitment to continuous improvement, Rodrigo is making his mark on Nicaragua’s specialty coffee scene. 🌟 MEET EUDORO GUILLÉN 🌟

Eudoro Guillen is a second-generation coffee farmer from Dipilto, Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua, dedicated to producing high-quality coffee. After his father, Don Eudoro, purchased the family farms in 1965, Eudoro inherited not only the land but also a deep passion for coffee cultivation. Alongside his wife, Norma Flores, and his mother, Doña Silvia, he continues his father’s legacy through innovation and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Finca San José, located in the Las Manos area of Dipilto, near the Honduras border, thrives in an ideal climate with consistent rainfall, perfect for coffee growing. Sitting at 1,250–1,350 meters above sea level, the farm exclusively cultivates the Caturra variety. Despite challenges like coffee leaf rust (la roya), Eudoro prioritizes quality and flavour in every step of his process. 🌱🌄

Beyond Finca San José, Eudoro also manages Los Pirineos and El Recuerdo, two additional farms that contribute to his pursuit of excellence. Each farm showcases the rich terroir of Dipilto and the dedication of generations of coffee producers.

Eudoro’s commitment to quality has earned him well-deserved recognition. In the 2015 Cup of Excellence Nicaragua, Finca San José ranked 13th place with a score of 87.08, highlighting the exceptional standard of his coffee. 🏆☕

🌟 MEET VICTOR LÓPEZ 🌟

Victor López, a dedicated coffee producer from Jinotega, Nicaragua, has been instrumental in elevating the quality and reputation of Nicaraguan specialty coffee. After graduating from the prestigious Zamorano Agricultural School in 2012, Victor assumed the management of his family's coffee estate, Finca Los Papales, which spans over 200 hectares in the mountainous region of Jinotega.

Under Victor's leadership, Finca Los Papales has undergone significant transformations. He introduced high-quality coffee varieties and implemented meticulous cultivation and processing techniques, including innovative fermentation methods. These efforts have resulted in exceptional cup profiles, with flavors ranging from tropical fruits like pineapple to floral and citrus notes.

The estate, located just outside the town of Jinotega at elevations between 1,300 and 1,700 meters above sea level, benefits from the region's unique microclimate. This environment, combined with Victor's commitment to quality, has led to Finca Los Papales consistently producing high-scoring lots year after year.

Beyond coffee cultivation, Victor emphasizes social responsibility and environmental sustainability. The farm is Rainforest Alliance Certified, dedicating portions of its land to forest conservation. It also offers free on-site education for workers' children and a medical clinic providing healthcare services to the local community.
Victor López's dedication to excellence and innovation has not only enhanced his family's legacy but has also contributed significantly to positioning Nicaraguan coffee on the global stage.

Norman Paguaga, the son of Don Ramon Paguaga, is a passionate coffee producer dedicated to innovation and quality. As the steward of Finca Casas Viejas, Norman has built upon his family's expertise, focusing on refining cultivation techniques and exploring new approaches to specialty coffee production.

Nestled in the lush mountains of Dipilto, Nicaragua, Casas Viejas benefits from the region's exceptional terroir, consistently producing high-scoring lots recognized for their quality. The farm is known for cultivating exceptional coffee varieties, using meticulous processing methods to enhance the complexity and clarity of flavors in the cup.

Norman’s commitment to excellence has been recognized on an international scale. His dedication to quality was evident when Casas Viejas earned a winning place in the Cup of Excellence Nicaragua, cementing his reputation as one of the country’s leading coffee producers. Through his work, Norman continues to push the boundaries of specialty coffee, solidifying Nicaragua’s place as a leader in the global specialty coffee industry.

Hey folks! We’re thrilled to kick off the year with our first event: Coffee Speed Dating! ☕ (And nope, this is not a singles event.)

So, you must be wondering: How does it work? Each participant represents a coffee from a different origin 🌍. You’ll get to ask questions to figure out the coffee’s nationality and, of course, taste them. Find your perfect match, aka your favourite coffee! 🤍

And don’t worry, this won’t end up all over Netflix, but it sure will be all over our IG! 📸

We’re ready to thrive, vibe, and share some spectacular coffees with y’all. Get set with your spoon!
