About two years ago a group of Nicaraguan Linkedin professionals decided to meet face to face to share information, help one another, build a learning community of professionals in Nicaragua, find ways to give back to the community and to network professionally. We grew from a long dining room table at Hotel Barcelo to our last meeting at the Crowne Plaza Convention Center. Our meetings range now
between 40 and 50 participants. Most are professionals: engineers, architects, business owners, entrepreneurs, accountants, consultants, educators, community activists, medical professionals, graduate students, government professionals, etc. The first half of the meeting features presentations by two folks who want others to know about their work. The second half of the meeting is led by David Cadia from Think26 ... it is a sort of speed dating experience where everyone in the room gets to meet other professionals face to face for a few minutes and share business cards, etc. Lots of fun. On the walls are posted jobs available, emails from those seeking consulting advice, jobs or assistance, projects seeking people to help, etc. We are trying a new format this time so that those who are pursuing graduate work on Saturdays can attend. It will be a wine and cheese meeting at the new CCNN complex after work on February 26, 5:00 to 7:30.
