For the largest transportation company in the world, we are looking for a network engineer to join our team in Hilversum.
Your daily tasks:
As a network engineer you are responsible for existing VoIP systems, company networks and security systems. You guarantee the reliability and availability of these systems, solve any malfunctions / problems satisfactorily and take the initiative for improvement. You are also involved in the processing of 3 rd line service requests and incidents.
Together with a team of 2 colleagues you are responsible for the entire network and the security of systems and the application landscape of the company. In addition to your responsibility as an engineer, you are in the lead of various transformation and optimization projects. You will contribute to an effective, efficient and agile mobility company, and you will work closely with various parties within and outside IT.
As a network engineer you work within the system management department, which consists of 12 colleagues.
What you bring:
You have an eye for processes and quickly see how things can be done smarter and take the initiative in this. You get energy from monitoring and facilitating the improvement process. You see opportunities and use them. You are also communicative and service-oriented.
We also ask:
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a comparable position;
• A completed MBO education in, for example, technical computer science;
• Knowledge of the following networks, Aruba (switches and WIFI), CISCO, Palo Alto etc;
• Knowledge and experience with network security (Firewall configurations & ruling) and VPN (Fortinet and Palo Alto);
• Experience with enterprise voice systems;
• Communication and writing skills English (Dutch will be also appreciated).
