Technical Writer NH90

You contribute by writing various IETP procedures required to maintain the NH90 helicopter. By consulting with the technical staff, you will jointly arrive at a document that is applicable to all end users of the NH90. The documentation you write is fully compliant with international aviation maintenance information standards. No maintenance on the NH90 is possible without your documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
You are responsible for researching, writing, reviewing, revising and maintaining the technical system documentation. You collect and analyse technical product information from various sources in order to record new and/or changing product functionalities. You use PTC ArborText. to create data modules in XML/SGML. As writers, we make sure that when we edit the content, the quality and care is maintained.

You will also use the IETD-CMS system to manage the lifecycle of our NH90 technical documentation, including design, review and publication phases.

You follow the change process of the technical drawings to determine the impact on the system documentation. You then prepare work packages, such as the illustrations to support the written system documentation. We work together in a team with other disciplines including Development, Engineering, Quality and Product Management and you coordinate and plan the work together with your colleagues so that the customer's deadlines are aligned.

QUALIFICATIONS
To be able to make a difference at our customer, your passion and talent for the profession are most important. In this role, we find very good command of the English language necessary because you must be able to write technically. If you already have 2-5 years of experience as a technical writer, you can get started in this role. Because we work with a very high degree of accuracy at defence level, there is always a challenge. A mbo/ hbo work-thinking level of mechanical engineering, or experience with aerospace production or maintenance helps you to understand complex matters so that you can also recognize the technical drawing systems and general aircraft or system-related documentation.

The following matters are also relevant to this role:
·Have or be prepared to gain knowledge and experience with the ATA iSpec 2200 for Component Maintenance Manuals and S1000D for the IETP procedures
·Proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel) and tools to create XML/SGML content, such as PTC ArborText;
·Have or be prepared to gain knowledge of and experience in applying AECMA simplified English;
·Be able to analyse complex content and translate it into useful maintenance instructions;
·Curiosity and the ability and drive to quickly learn new concepts and tools;
·Able to work quickly, efficiently and switch between various activities and priorities;
·The desire and ability to innovate and improve current processes where possible.
