𝗔 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Our recent anniversary celebrations were a reminder of what makes Haskoning in the Philippines such a special place to build a career.

Last month, 52 our colleagues in Vietnam swapped their laptops for padel and badminton rackets. 🏸🎾

What followed was a day full of energy, teamwork and friendly competition. Moments like these bring people together and reflect the culture we're proud of at Haskoning: open, international and collaborative, with colleagues from diverse backgrounds working, learning and growing together.

At our knowledge-sharing session on Green Port Movement in Vietnam on 18 August, we explored how Vietnam’s ports can turn green ambitions into practical action.

As Vietnam advances its green port criteria and energy transition goals, ports have opportunities to strengthen productivity, operational resilience and environmental performance. Starting points may include energy efficiency, electrification, renewable power and shore power, tailored to each port’s needs and maturity.

The discussion also highlighted the value of developing feasible, investable projects that can support productive conversations with funding and financing partners.

Thank you to representatives from Cai Mep International Terminal (CMIT), Vietnam International Container Terminals (VICT), A.P. Moller - Maersk, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd., and the Consulate-General of the The Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam, as well as everyone who contributed to the discussion.

Tại buổi chia sẻ kiến thức về Hành trình Chuyển đổi Cảng Xanh tại Việt Nam diễn ra vào ngày 18/8, chúng tôi đã cùng trao đổi về cách các cảng biển Việt Nam có thể biến những tham vọng phát triển xanh thành các hành động thực tiễn.

Trong bối cảnh Việt Nam đang thúc đẩy tiêu chí cảng xanh và mục tiêu chuyển dịch năng lượng, các cảng có nhiều cơ hội để nâng cao năng suất, tăng cường khả năng vận hành linh hoạt và cải thiện hiệu quả môi trường. Những bước đi đầu tiên có thể bao gồm tối ưu hóa hiệu quả sử dụng năng lượng, điện khí hóa, ứng dụng năng lượng tái tạo và triển khai hệ thống cấp điện bờ , phù hợp với nhu cầu và mức độ phát triển của từng cảng.

Buổi thảo luận cũng nhấn mạnh tầm quan trọng của việc xây dựng các dự án khả thi và có tiềm năng thu hút đầu tư, từ đó tạo nền tảng cho những cuộc trao đổi hiệu quả với các đối tác tài trợ và tài chính.

🌏 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Flooding is a massive challenge across the Philippines. Through our latest project, we are exploring how nature-based solutions can help urban areas become highly resilient.

For Leo, an engineer on the team, this project is a perfect example of what makes his work meaningful: "In the Philippines, you really see how flooding affects communities. Being able to work on innovative, nature-based solutions to reduce that impact means you are contributing to something that truly matters."

🌱 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
What sets this project apart is the focus on practical, local impact. Rather than working solely behind a computer, the team collaborates closely with local stakeholders and visits different cities first-hand.

"That's when the project really comes real," Leo explains. "You see the challenges on the ground and learn how to translate engineering concepts into practical solutions. It gives you the space to take ownership and develop new skills."

Recently, 70+ young professionals from 7 APAC countries united in the Philippines for our global ICSD initiative. It was an inspiring day of networking and learning, focused on accelerating knowledge exchange and cross-selling across the region.

The day was defined by high engagement and meaningful discussions, featuring:

🔗 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: Connected through fast-paced sessions to build relationships across our regional offices.
🛡️ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀:Discussed code of conduct, compliance, and managing one's circle of influence.

Together for health. Stand with science. 🔬🌍

On , we’re proud to back science that protects people and the planet. Last year we made our biggest commitment yet with the launch of our Haskoning Innovation & Education Fund, dedicating 12.5% of our annual net profits to global research, innovation and education.

With the fund we support Delft University of Technology’s “Sludge to Resource” research project exploring bacteria that can break down organic pollutants such as pesticides, and microplastics – recovering useful materials like metals or biopolymers. It’s science in action to protect people and secure a healthier future.
