Life's full of surprises. A very last minute installation for our Belgian partners at .be - what a beauty she is! This Nexus was installed in the dessert bar aboard a cruise ship of all places! Yet another great project that's actively reshaping the public perception of what coffee can be.

The first step is usually to have a fun idea that you love. The second step is to figure out how to make it happen! If you have great people around you the rest will fall into place.

was born out of a love for great coffee and a desire to share this love with others. It's been a pleasure to have been involved.

Opening a horeca business isn't easy and it has a steep learning curve. Thankfully I've been fortunate enough to be able to pass on over a decade of thoughts, ideas and experiences with Mo and Ines to take some of the weight off of their shoulders.

Stop by, say hi, have a coffee and always support small local businesses with big ideas.

Preventative Maintenance. If there was ever just one rule to follow when owning an espresso machine it's this. Catch potential problems before the problems catch you!

This machine in particular was made in 2016 and has never had a descale. Although it's always been fed filtered water it still doesn't guarantee an existence free of mineral build up.

Look after your machines and they will look after you.

Over at doing a monthly deep clean of their My85’s. Always helping to keep extractions consistently high with helping to keep track of the numbers 💪

Another day another little descale session. A bit more intricate this time around.

When things aren’t running right you need to inspect the entire path of water. Starting from the inlet and working towards the group head itself. Only then can you truly work out where the issue is. Otherwise you’re just gambling. In this case it was a combination of things.

Inlet pipes, Solenoid plungers, flow Restrictors and Flowmeters all had small traces of mineral deposits present - just enough to cause more than 4 seconds of variation from one group to the next.

All sorted now though after a thorough cleaning 🤙
