For ‘State of Wander’ at Paleis Het Loo, Jonathan Andrew was commissioned to photograph a large-scale exhibition spanning the palace interiors, gardens and surrounding grounds.
Working across complex architectural and outdoor environments, the photography captures the interaction between contemporary art, heritage and audience experience with a strong emphasis on atmosphere, spatial composition and visual storytelling.
The resulting campaign imagery was created to communicate the exhibition’s distinctive identity while preserving the character and scale of one of the Netherlands’ most iconic cultural sites.

State of Wander: Reimagining Royal Heritage through Ecology at Paleis Het Loo

For the ‘State of Wander’ exhibition at Paleis Het Loo, our photographer Jonathan Andrew was commissioned to capture the scale and spirit of this expansive takeover, which stretches from the palace’s historic interiors to the lush gardens and surrounding estate.Sound and sensory immersion are at the heart of the experience. A standout highlight is Jan Christian Schulz’s Biophony of Het Loo, which has reimagined the palace ‘Grotto’. By replacing traditional static displays with live, real-time environmental soundscapes, Schulz has transformed the space into a dynamic ecological listening chamber

Supernice timelapse by our photographer / director Joseph for the invisible jumpers series.
Nina Dodd spent weeks knitting this sweater, based on a design by Belgian street artist, Denis Meyers, created to match his installation at MAUSA Vauban museum in France.

Happily living in a 50 m2 durable tiny house with a family of four.
Their life is more social here and they have a organic market garden next door.
It also means you share bigger items like a lawn mower with your neighbours because of the limited space.

Who’s photographing whom?

For a special feature in about his first musical Stoornis of My Life, Alex takes a self-portrait, while Sander captures Alex in the act, and Jouk photographs Sander as he photographs Alex.
Alex is captured in a pretty unique way. Instead of a standard portrait, they created a visual chain reaction:

The result is a one-of-a-kind series showing how three artists work together while keeping their own signature style, which perfectly mirrors Alex’s personal story about his brother and the beauty found in overlooked details.
In Stoornis of My Life, he invites us to see the world through an autistic lens: raw, funny, and unapologetically real.
It’s a tribute to authenticity—a reminder that the best stories happen when we stop trying to fit in and simply show up as ourselves.

Honoring a visionary. In anticipation of Erwin Olaf’s solo exhibition at (Autumn 2025), we explore his legacy in a special tribute magazine.
Photographer Jouk Oosterhof ( brings her signature style to the chapter ‘Once Bullied, Now Celebrated.’ By staging subjects like theatrical sculptures, she captures the raw resilience of icons like Nicolas Veul and Francis van Broekhuizen.
Erwin’s work was a constant dialogue with ballet and classical music, driven by the tension between beauty and power.
This project is a profound ode to that rhythm-and to the courage of those who dare to be different.
