Kering’s premium brand left social media platforms Instagram & Weibo rather suddenly.

Is it sheer brilliance or a kamikaze strategy?

Advantages could be that it will drive more traffic to their own .com and they create a greater sense of exclusivity.

Disadvantages are that other take control of the void left on these platforms and the brand is not in control of the narrative of the brand anymore.

What do you think? A smart strategic move?
