We are delighted to announce the representation of pianist and composer Rembrandt Frerichs.

At the heart of our collaboration is a shared vision: bringing improvisation back into classical music. Inspired by the traditions of composer-performers such as Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff and Gershwin, Rembrandt Frerichs creates performances in which composition and improvisation meet, reconnecting audiences with the spontaneity that once belonged naturally to the concert stage.

As both composer and pianist, Rembrandt performs his own works from the keyboard, shaping each performance from within. His piano concertos, developed in collaboration with musicians from leading orchestras including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Residentie Orchestra, offer orchestras innovative and flexible programming opportunities while creating a direct connection between performer, composer and audience.
Alongside existing repertoire, Interartists and Rembrandt Frerichs are committed to developing new projects with orchestras and ensembles internationally, exploring fresh concert formats, commissions and artistic collaborations.

Growing up in his father's music shop near Rotterdam, Rembrandt's musical curiosity led him from classical training in the Netherlands to formative years in the Middle East and studies at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and New York. Today, his work as a composer continues to expand, with an increasing focus on creating music for a wide range of performers and ensembles.

On 12 June, pianist Julien Libeer was featured on NPO Klassiek’s Vrij Spel, the programme in which musicians are invited to step away from the score and reinvent a classical work in their own personal style.

For this special appearance, Julien chose Mozart’s beloved Rondo alla Turca and transformed it into a relaxed jazz-inspired version, drawing on his long-standing passion for improvisation.

Reflecting on his musical journey—from being inspired by Leonard Bernstein as a child to studying with mentors such as Maria João Pires and Alfred Brendel—Julien offered listeners a unique glimpse into his creative world.

Pianist Anna Fedorova continues to receive outstanding critical acclaim across Europe for her recent performances.

Described as “lyrical, passionate and lively,” her interpretations have been praised for their depth, clarity and expressive power. Critics highlight her “sweeping romantic breadth,” “extraordinarily rich sound,” and her ability to combine “detail with grandeur in a natural and homogeneous way.”

Her performances of Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky have been especially celebrated, with reviewers noting her “crystalline and ethereal melody” and a “whirlwind of technique” delivered with elegance and ease.

In recent weeks, Anna Fedorova has appeared with the Noord Nederlands Orkest in Drachten and Utrecht—where her performance was broadcast live on NPO Klassiek—and continued the tour in Groningen at De Oosterpoort. She also performed at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona with Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, following earlier appearances across Spain.
