🎉 𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝟱𝟬!
In 1975, Brunel was founded on a bold idea: to connect top-tier specialists to the world’s most groundbreaking projects. Our founder 𝗝𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 started it all in Delft under the name 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗰, placing one engineer on one project.

Fifty years on, that vision has become a global reality with a network of +12,000 specialists across 120 locations in 45 countries, delivering the expertise needed to help businesses innovate, scale, and stay ahead.

To mark the moment, our CEO Peter de Laat and founder Jan Brand returned to Delft to reflect on the journey, the values that shaped Brunel, and what the next 50 years will bring.

This International Women in Engineering Day, we are celebrating the incredible achievements of the next generation of female engineers.

In particular, we're shouting out the achievements of Fairholme College's incredible all-female H2GP teams who recently competed in the H2GP Foundation's Hydrogen Grand Prix regional qualifier.

Fairholme's returning Team H2Fxlcon claimed 2nd place overall and secured their spot at the 2025 H2GP World Finals in Germany as one of Australia's top-performing all-female team! The debuting Team xCelerate also shone, taking home the Team Spirit and Fastest Pitstop awards, while officially recording Australia's fastest pit time (5.06 seconds).

These talented students are proof that when given the opportunity to engage in STEM, young women don't just participate - they excel. Congratulations to all involved - we can't wait to cheer on Team H2Fxlcon in Germany!

When a globally-recognised renewables company needed third-party vendor inspection services, Brunel in collaboration with Taylor Hopkinson delivered.

Backed by 27 years of inspection experience and powered by the combined expertise of Brunel and Taylor Hopkinson, we mobilised the right specialists to meet the challenge, building custom frameworks, aligning with technical scope, and delivering measurable value.

This is what it means to connect specialists to pioneering projects.

On May 25th, the Brunel Foundation joined the Surf Project in Zandvoort to officially hand over Brunel’s donation.

The Surf Project gives children with Down syndrome, autism or ADHD the opportunity to learn how to surf under professional guidance. Through surfing, their confidence grows and they get to feel free and proud, both on the beach and beyond. 💛

Thanks to the amazing efforts of our Brunellers, we reached the full donation amount, a true sign of commitment. As a symbol of growth and impact, the Surf Project received a symbolic “money tree”, a tangible reminder of our collective effort. The handover took place on a special day, the final lesson for this group of participants. And that called for a celebration! The children received their well-earned diplomas and medals to loud applause from proud parents, volunteers and coaches.

At the Brunel Foundation, we’re turning that mindset into action. The month of June, we’re spotlighting — turning waste into something valuable and one of a kind in collaboration with our trusted partner Vanhulley.

Upcycling isn't about recycling, it's about and creating a new mindset, responsible use of resources, inspiration and creativity. Sometimes, we choose to standout and dare to do different. One example is our — crafted entirely from upcycled materials, it embodies the beauty of mindful design and sustainable choices.
