Excited to anounce we have been working on the creative direction, concept and design for the second Ace & Tate flagship store in Utrecht.

Drawing inspiration from contemporary exhibition spaces, the new store forms a minimalist statement, adding a sense of calm around the diverse collections. The space doubles as an art gallery, creating a stage for their campaigns and future collaborations.

Everything is custom made - oak wood furniture, a modular round mirror system, a static grid of tube lights and a typographic light installation mounted in the centre window. The lower ground floor of the store boasts a mirror wall optically creating more space, containing a hidden eye-test room with walls completely covered in grey fabric, forming a tactile environment whilst muting sound.

We're happy to anounce we have done the design for the Ace & Tate Amsterdam flagship store.

The concept for the store evolved around our idea to create a unique retail experience based on a system that makes the space both functional in use as well as setting an aesthetic brand statement. We took the brand's dynamics as a starting point and translated this into a unique modular system with a contemporary approach.

Everything is custom made to create a fine balance between form and functionality. Customers are able to browse, sit and read or get their eyes tested in a separate room which is completely covered in wool felt, creating a tactile and sound absorbing atmosphere.

By using carefully picked materials such as light oak wood, white steel, speckled stone and quality fabric, we aimed to create a rich experience in a minimalist context, setting a stage for the eyewear and the experience of the brand.
