Cortical Studios wins gold for scientific film at New York Festivals.

Amsterdam-based Cortical Studios wins a gold medal at the New York Festivals, the equivalent to the Oscars for commissioned films, with its scientific information film on probiotics. The award was presented in Las Vegas on 8 April at the 57th edition of the prestigious New York Festivals. In the International Television & Film Competition, the film won the gold medal in the category Instruction & Education.
The film was commissioned by life-science company Kemin and explains how probiotics added to poultry feed contribute to a healthy gut flora, thereby providing a healthy alternative to antibiotics.
Besides the gold medal, the film also won a bronze medal in the category Animation, and in 2013 it was a finalist in the Global Awards, with their special focus on science and health care.
