When you have ADHD a part of what can get in your way is not having enough free flowing dopamine available in your brain to help you activate on tasks. This is even more difficult when the task is hard or boring, or the idea of starting on it generates stress in your system.
This leads to procrastination, feeling stuck and very often a self-judgement spiral that leads to a lot of negative self talk.
If that is how you start your day, it can affect the rest of your day negatively. Starting the day in a good flow on the other hand, tends to positively affect our outcomes for the rest of the day.
One thing you can so do support yourself is frontload something short, fun and easy right before difficult tasks. This is sometimes called "priming the dopamine pump".
If you try it, let me know how it has worked for you. If you feel you need a little more help figuring out the specifics of this in your particular situation, so you can start trying this: I'd be happy to support you as your ADHD coach!
