TPN is de afkorting voor Tulpen Promotie Nederland. De stichting is opgericht door ruim 400 tulpenbroeiers. Zij zorgen samen voor de wereldwijde promotie van de tulp. TPN promoot de tulp door het organiseren van verschillende promotieactiviteiten. De grootste activiteit is de Nationale Tulpendag. Nationale Tulpendag

aterdag van januari vindt traditiegetrouw de start van het seizoen plaats. Op deze dag zorgen de tulpenbroeiers voor een grote tulpenpluktuin in het centrum van Amsterdam. Iedereen is welkom om gratis een bos tulpen te plukken. Graag tot ziens op het Museumplein op 18 Januari 2025.

Once the tulip bulbs are clean and dry, they go through a peeling machine before being carefully finished by hand. They are then sorted by size.

Right now, millions of tulip bulbs are being processed, all with one goal: creating another beautiful and blooming tulip season next year! 🌷💛

This is the time of year Dutch tulip growers dig up the tulip bulbs from the fields. 🚜🌷

Using tractors and large harvesting machines, the bulbs are carefully lifted from the soil and transported in pallet boxes to the farm, where they are cleaned, sorted, and prepared for their next stage.

After a period of rest and carefully controlled temperatures, these bulbs will be ready to grow into next season’s beautiful tulips. ✨

After months of patience, care, and the perfect growing conditions, harvest season has finally arrived! 🚜💪🏼

The stems have turned brown and dry, a sure sign that all the energy has returned to the bulb beneath the soil. Now the bulbs are fully grown and ready to be harvested.

Ever wondered what happens after the tulip flowers are removed? 🌷🚜

It may look a little sad in the fields right now, but underground, something important is happening.

After topping, the tulip bulbs continue to grow, drawing nutrients and energy from the stems and leaves.

In just a few weeks, the bulbs will be harvested, ready to begin their journey towards another season of beautiful tulips.

A little patience now means millions of stunning flowers next season! 🌷✨
