OFFICIAL TRAILER — One Last Case, Detective Straat
We are excited to share the first official trailer for One Last Case, Detective Straat, a noir film centered around a mysterious murder.

Project Origins:
This film is the result of a collaborative and synergistic effort between AATG, Filmshade, and IPN Cultura. The project took shape by combining our diverse skills and experiences to bring this independent production to life, managing every stage from initial development through to post-production.

SYNOPSIS:
Veteran Detective Ronald Straat is dragged into the shadows to investigate the murder of a silver screen idol - a man whom everyone had a reason to hate. Tangled in a web of suspects and lots of motives to kill, Straat must cut through the smog of deceit to answer the question: "Who killed Adrian Cole?"

Back at Amsterdam!

Once again, part of the IPN Cultura team spent the day immersed in the future of media and technology. For those of us at Italian Professionals Netherlands, who are also dedicated to short film production, this is our annual go-to event for merging innovation and creativity.

In Italian Professionals Netherlands' growth journey within short film production, IBC is a key milestone for connecting technical expertise with our creative vision. From cameras and lighting to post-production, we are heading home with minds full of ideas and ready to bring our upcoming projects to life.

We are ready to head back to the set with fresh ideas and the certainty that technology, without passion, is merely a tool. Ready for the next stories!

In qualità di membri di Italian Professionals Netherlands e IPN Cultura, abbiamo preso parte ad Amsterdam, presso Het Ketelhuis, alla proiezione per la stampa di Below the Clouds (Sotto le nuvole), l’ultimo lavoro di Gianfranco Rosi che debutterà ufficialmente nelle sale olandesi il prossimo 27 agosto.

Il film si impone fin dalle prime inquadrature come un’operazione di decostruzione del paesaggio mitologico napoletano. Rosi elude programmaticamente ogni canone folkloristico o urgenza di genere, scegliendo una postura osservativa che si traduce in un bianco e nero di straordinaria densità plastica. Questa opzione cromatica non agisce come mero decorativismo nostalgico, ma opera una vera e propria sincronizzazione temporale: azzerando le distanze visive tra le stratificazioni archeologiche di Pompei e l’edilizia della contingenza moderna, il regista unifica il tempo in un eterno presente. Il suolo e il sottosuolo cessano di essere polarità distinte per farsi vasi comunicanti, dove la quotidianità dei vivi si sviluppa in costante, silenziosa coabitazione con i fantasmi e i manufatti della memoria.

La tensione drammaturgica del documentario non scaturisce dall’evento catastrofico, bensì dalla sua immanenza. Sotto la coltre delle nuvole generate dal vulcano, l’esistenza si organizza attorno a una ritualità della precarietà. È una dialettica sottile, restituita mirabilmente sia dalle dinamiche di superficie sia dal paesaggio acustico sotterraneo, in cui le frequenze sismiche e le partiture sonore si fondono in un’esperienza quasi ipnotica. L’opera si configura così come un’indagine filosofica sulla vulnerabilità e sulla paradossale stabilità delle culture nate sul ciglio del collasso, dove persino l’ansia geologica viene riassorbita in una forma di rassegnata e ironica saggezza quotidiana.

Un appuntamento cinematografico di assoluto rilievo che invitiamo tutta la nostra rete a scoprire.

What a night at Pathé Buitenhof! Yesterday, we hosted the Frames of Italy preview of La vita va così (Life Is Life), and the energy in the room was fantastic.
The evening kicked off with an introduction by Marianna Giacomel, followed by a special surprise: a video message directly from director Riccardo Milani! After the screening, the film's themes of heritage, identity, and dignity sparked an incredibly lively debate. The audience was so engaged that our post-film discussion, co-moderated by Marianna and Vincenzo Toscani, ran straight until closing time, keeping us talking in the theater until the lights went down.
This event was a true team effort by the IPN Cultura crew. A massive thank you to Vincenzo (Italian Professionals Netherlands founder), Marianna, Claudia Cesaroni, Daniela Fastoso, Sergio Russo, and Angelo Sfriso for working together to bring this night to life.
We also want to thank the distributor for introducing this beautiful movie to the Netherlands and making its release possible. If you loved it or missed the preview, you will soon be able to catch it everywhere, as the film will officially hit Dutch cinemas nationwide starting July 23rd!

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came out and shared their thoughts. See you at the next one!

“La vita va così” (Life Is Life), directed by Riccardo Milani

Inspired by an incredible true story, this brilliant comedy takes us to the wild coast of southern Sardinia. The film follows the fierce resistance of an 84-year-old shepherd determined to defend his grazing land and heritage from a group of ambitious real estate developers looking to build a multi-million-euro luxury resort.
Beyond the laughter, the story touches on a universal theme: the delicate balance between modern economic development and the vital need to preserve our roots, dignity, and environment. Acclaimed director Riccardo Milani leverages the best traditions of Italian comedy to deliver an entertaining and deeply human story about a lonely hero standing up against big money.

A massive thank you to everyone who joined us at Pathé Buitenhof for our screening.

Last night, we brought a piece of Italy to The Hague with a preview of “Tre ciotole.” The evening featured a special addition: a personal video greeting that director Isabel Coixet recorded specifically for the IPN Cultura community, a thoughtful gesture to open the screening.

Following the film, we held a discussion right there in the theater. It was great to see so many of you stay to share reflections on Michela Murgia’s story and Coixet’s cinematic vision. Seeing the room full of people exchanging ideas and perspectives is exactly why we host these events.

Special thanks to .coixet for her dedicated message and to the distributor Arti-Film for making this premiere possible. Thank you all for your presence and your passion for cinema.
