In July, Kelowna City Council approved the Development Permit for our exciting new project with Ledingham McAllister in , BC. The Vintage at Waterscapes is a waterfront development consisting of four residential towers in Kelowna’s downtown core. The towers will range from 28 to 36 storeys, and will include over 1,141 residential units and rooftop amenities overlooking the captivating Okanagan Lake.

We are working alongside Lytton First Nation (LFN) conducting environmental site assessments and remediation of residential properties after wildfires hit the community for a second year in a row. After the earth-shattering wildfires in 2021 that destroyed residential property, the community was faced with intense flames again in 2022 on the west side of the Fraser River. LFN is working to adapt to climate change and build resilient infrastructure so they can continue to live on their ancestral land. We are honoured to work with LFN to help restore their land and bring the community home.

This year's Athens Office event took place in the captivating landscapes of Arcadia, Greece. The team embarked on an exciting weekend filled with mountain hiking and rafting adventures along the scenic Lousios River.

Surrounded by natural beauty and immersed in Arcadian mythical tales, team members engaged in various activities, fostering a sense of togetherness and camaraderie. The experience allowed them to build stronger connections, encouraging collaboration, growth and inspiration among the group.

"The weekend was filled with adrenaline, and a healthy dose of friendly competition. As we navigated the rushing rapids, we discovered the true power of unity. Together, we tackled challenges, supported one another, and celebrated our triumphs as a cohesive unit," said Director, Antulio Richetta.

We are proud to announce Arcadis IBI Group’s Chief Operations Director, Audrey Jacob has been recognized as one of The Top 50 Women Leaders of Toronto for 2023! Audrey’s dedication and expertise have played a crucial role in shaping Arcadis IBI (AIBI) and advancing good business practices, fostering collaboration, focusing on sustainable growth and creating a more diverse and equitable workplace.

With more than 30 years of experience as an Ontario Professional Planner (OPPI), a Registered Professional Planner (RPP) and a Professional Land Economist (PLE), Audrey has been active in the Greater Toronto Area planning and development community for most of her career.

Stepping into the role of Deputy Regional Director for Canada East/Toronto Office Lead in 2014, she broadened and honed her management skills. With a promotion to the IBI Group Executive Team as Chief Operations Director in 2020, she has oversight of our global brand and communications, human resources, operations (including IT and Design Technology) and workplace leases for the company’s 60+ offices across the globe. With this position, she also took on the role as Chief Diversity Officer and has been instrumental in guiding and developing a work environment that embraces diversity, inclusion and belonging.

Arising from the merging of IBI Group and Arcadis in late 2022, Audrey is leading AIBI’s integration efforts. With our enhanced global footprint and our expanded offerings, we are stronger together and will continue to plan, design and build the resilient and sustainable cities of tomorrow.

We recently designed a new highway commercial centre for Ulkatcho First Nation near Anahim Lake, BC. On National Indigenous People’s Day, the Nation held a groundbreaking ceremony for the development, expected to be completed later this year.
