Kick-off TINO Politie MDT! 🎉

Recently we started a Knowledge Detective project in Tiel with over 100 students from class 6,7 and 8. This time about and with seniors who survived the Second World War.

After a short online introductory workshop about the importance of searching knowledge, the students did their own research and interviewed eyewitnesses. They explored objects from the Regionaal Archief Rivierenland, looked at traces in the city and presented their own 'evidence'.

Lastly, they make works of art that will be painted on the walls of two tunnels in Gemeente Tiel.

Looking forward to this edition of our Knowledge Detective program with the theme '2nd World War'. An important subject for youngsters to learn about. At the same time they practice the skill: learning from people you didn't think you can learn from. The youngsters will interview elderly, research their stories and present their findings in an online event. Together with several great partners in Tiel, we're excited about this Knowledge Detective edition that combines TINO, art education & (local) and that fits to the current Dutch corona-regulations!
