Gold or Platinum, which do you prefer?

Gold: 1/3 Pinot Noir, 1/3 Pinot Meunier and 1/3 Chardonnay. This composition gives the champagne a deliciously fresh taste

Platinum: Grande Reserve champagne 100% Chardonnay. The champagne is called a "Blanc-de-blancs", because the champagne is made purely from white grapes.

Good morning, what a view!

Today we are at Piazzale Michelangelo, a square in Florence, Italy. This square is situated on a hill and offers a good view of the city of Florence, which is divided in two by the river Arno, with views of the Ponte Vecchio, Santa Maria del Fiore, Uffizi, Santa Croce and Palazzo Vecchio.

Ponte Vecchio here we are.

The old bridge Ponte Vecchio is the symbol of Florence. Ponte Vecchio has been through a lot in the course of time. As a strategic transition from one end of the city to the other, it has often been the scene of games of power and prestige. Cosimo I de' Medici, who was Grand Duke of Tuscany in the mid-16th century, did not like the fact that he and his family had to walk among the common people to cross the river. The Grand Duke therefore had a covered passage built above the original Ponte, the Corridoio Vasariano, which allowed him and his family to cross from one side of the river to the other without being seen. You can see that the passage twists around the Manel Tower that stands on the bridge.

The tour continues in Siena

Siena is an ancient city, which as early as the thirteenth century was one of Florence's main rivals politically and culturally. Since 1995, the historic center of Siena has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is not for nothing that famous movies are set in Italian Siena. Think of the famous beginning of James Bonds Quantum of Solace or think of Letters to Juliet.

Our beautiful Platinum bottle enjoys the beautiful square with the magnificent cathedral in the background. What a picture!
