Als het om vers gaat, gaat Aartsen het verst van allemaal. Wij bieden alles aan in de wereld van groenten en fruit. Iedere dag zorgen we er weer voor dat ons assortiment verse groenten en fruit uit de hele wereld hun weg vindt naar onze afnemers. Dit maakt Aartsen de enige, echte internationale gateway voor groenten en fruit. Niets is voor ons te gek. Als het moet, laten we zelfs een kiwi vliegen.

Aartsen doet er alles aan om groenten en fruit verser dan vers bij een van haar vestigingen in de Benelux of Hong Kong te krijgen. Dit wordt mede mogelijk gemaakt door partners die zich in alle hoeken van de wereld bevinden. Zij telen de beste en mooiste groenten- en fruitsoorten voor ons. Bij Aartsen zeggen we niet voor niets; we go the extra mile for fresh fruit and vegetables. In de Benelux heeft Aartsen drie vestingen waarvan twee in Nederland (Breda en Venlo) en een vestiging in België (St. Katelijne-Waver). Vanuit onze vestiging in Hongkong bedienen we het continent in Azië.

Fresh Forward is choosing a new direction for its running events.

We have decided to no longer associate our name with the 10K of the Breda Singelloop. Our decision to end our partnership after 13 years with the Singelloop was driven by changes to the event. E.g. the event date and the starting time of the 10K played a role here.

These changes have led us to reassess whether the event still fits within Fresh Forward and the role we want our running events to play.

It’s not an easy choice of course, but we believe this change creates room for new opportunities that fit Fresh Forward even better.

We remain fully committed to supporting sporting events that align with Fresh Forward and our people. We are proud to continue as the title sponsor of the Aartsen 10K Venloop, and the Antwerp Urban Trail is coming up soon.

On behalf of Team Aartsen, we wish the Le Champion team every success and, above all, lots of fun organising Breda’s most enjoyable running event.

Healthy lunches never go out of season. This Slow-Roasted Citrus Salmon is fresh, light and full of summer flavours. Perfect to share as a healthy lunch with family, friends or colleagues.

1. Prepare
Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C). Arrange 1 thinly sliced fennel bulb, 1 sliced grapefruit, 1 sliced lemon, 1 sliced red jalapeño and 4 sprigs of dill in a baking dish. Season with sea salt and black pepper. Place a 750 g skinless salmon fillet on top and drizzle with 125 ml olive oil.

2. Roast
Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the salmon is just cooked through and beautifully tender. You'll know the salmon is done when a knife glides easily through the fillet.

3. Serve
Transfer the salmon to a serving platter, spoon over the roasted fennel and citrus, finish with 2 fresh sprigs of dill and season to taste.

This evening was all about saying thank you. Thank you for the commitment, dedication, and enthusiasm that help Aartsen continue to grow every single day.

We recently visited Chile to meet with several of our grower partners, spending time in Santiago and the Curicó region.

During the visit, we reviewed the past cherry season, where our diversified sales network across Southeast Asia, China, India, and Europe delivered strong results together with our growers.

In addition, we discussed the upcoming seasons for grapes, stone fruit, kiwifruit, berries, and other categories. It has been a challenging year, making close collaboration and long-term partnerships even more important to achieving the best possible results.

We are already looking forward to returning to Chile later this year 🍒.
