How do you increase production capacity by approximately 70% without your labor needs growing at the same pace?

At Boekestyn Greenhouses' new facility in Lincoln, Canada, our team has started installing an advanced WPS Plant Order System. The system will automate the process from harvest to order fulfillment, helping Boekestyn manage its strong growth with only a limited increase in staff.

Designed according to Just-in-Time principles, the system will create an efficient and streamlined order flow. The investment is backed by a Lean Scan from Optimize by Nexus, identifying where the greatest labor savings could be achieved.

The result? Less dependency on labor, lower labor costs, more efficient order processing, and a scalable operation ready for future growth.

WPS has reached an agreement with Bercomex to acquire Terra’s potted plant sleeving activities. With this step, we are expanding our automation portfolio and moving closer to one integrated automation solution for internal logistics, processing, shipping, and packaging.

For potted plant growers, this means that even more steps in the production process can be connected and automated. By bringing Terra’s sleeving technology and expertise together with WPS automation, we can help growers reduce labor requirements, increase efficiency, and create greater control and peace of mind in their daily operations.

For existing Terra customers, continuity is equally important. As part of the acquisition, WPS will take over Terra’s installed potted plant sleeving systems and the specialized knowledge behind them. Customers can continue to rely on WPS for support, spare parts, and the further development of their automated sleeving systems.
