Applied across wall panels and displays, the material catches the light and shifts subtly as you move through the space.

As we keep saying: real change comes from choosing better materials and from an industry willing to shift. It's rewarding to see that mindset take shape here, with and architects like embracing more responsible solutions.

For Reconstructing Value, presented during London Design Festival at the Bank of England Museum, in collaboration with Surface Matter, we explored a simple question: what happens when money loses its value?

Working with £2.5 million of decommissioned banknotes, we transformed shredded currency into a sculptural furniture installation—where value shifts from symbol to material.

Drawing from the surrounding neoclassical and baroque architecture, we translated these references into curved, contemporary forms that feel both monumental and unexpected. Traces of the banknotes remain visible in the surface, revealing their past life.

Designed as a modular system, the elements can be rearranged, subtly forming the outline of the pound symbol when viewed from above.
