Every board presentation gets prepared.

The slides. The numbers. The narrative.

What almost never gets prepared are the five conversations that should happen before anyone walks into that room.

There is a difference between someone who advises you and someone who genuinely challenges your thinking.

Mentoring is valuable. But at a certain level, what you need is someone who will sit across the table, hear your plan, and push back. Not to be difficult. Because the plan deserves it.

That is executive sparring. Speaking on eye level. No agenda other than helping you think it through properly.
Swipe through to see what that actually means.

The most expensive assumptions in large organisations are the ones nobody questions anymore.

Not because they are correct. Because they are familiar.

that has never been tested outside the building. Market positioning that made sense three years ago. A cross-border model that worked in one geography and was assumed to work in all of them.

Internal teams are capable. That is not the issue. The issue is that proximity to the business makes it harder to see what an independent perspective spots immediately.

The question is not whether your commercial assumptions are right. It is when you last had someone credible enough to tell you if they were wrong.

Good technology. Good people. Still not moving.

This is the most common situation we walk into. Everything looks right on paper. The product works. The team is capable. The market opportunity is real.

But traction is slower than it should be. Investor conversations start well and go nowhere. The cross-border move keeps getting pushed to next quarter.

The answer is rarely the technology or the people.

It is almost always the commercial architecture sitting underneath them. The market logic that was never properly defined. The investor narrative built on assumptions rather than structure. The expansion plan that has ambition but no foundation.

That is the work. And it is exactly where we start.

The gap nobody talks about. 🔛

Deep tech ventures celebrate every TRL milestone. Rightly so.

But there is a moment that follows most aren’t prepared for.

The technology is proven. The market still doesn’t move.

Not because the technology wasn’t ready.

Because the commercial architecture never was.

TRL 7 is not the finish line. It’s the starting gun for the hardest work.

What’s your experience with this transition?

Last week we gathered in Eindhoven for 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 – 𝗡𝗲𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.

Our annual non-proft Impact event, we have been hosting the 3rd year.

What made the evening special was not only the speakers on stage, but the mix of people in the room. Leaders, researchers, entrepreneurs, and professionals from different fields came together to explore a topic that quietly shapes many of our working environments: 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸, 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲.

The conversations were honest. At times challenging. We spoke about friction in decision-making, about systems that unintentionally filter certain ways of thinking, and about what inclusive leadership actually requires when perspectives truly differ.

And yet the atmosphere throughout the evening was open, thoughtful, and full of energy. People stayed, continued conversations, and made new connections.
The video captures some of those moments.

A warm thank you to everyone who contributed to the evening and to our speakers:
IAMCLAUDIA - Claudia Hopman, Pascal van Harten, Ellen Gijsbers, Neda Esser- Niazian, David O’Coimin, Apoorva Kumar, Lizbeth Gallardo Castillo, and Dr. Sinead Hewson.

And of course to everyone who joined us in Eindhoven and helped create such a meaningful exchange. 🧡

At AMACON Lead, we care deeply about creating spaces where leadership can be discussed openly and with substance. Momentum was another step in that journey.

Before you scroll past, ask yourself:
🔸 Are your team discussions sharp… but decisions still stall?
🔸 Do strong perspectives raise the bar or quietly slow things down?

Momentum 2026 is built for exactly that tension.
🔛 Honest conversation about how different minds shape decisions, friction, and performance.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 “𝒏𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈” 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?

At , we will open the evening with this exact question in conversation with Pascal van Harten.

Pascal is a PhD candidate in Management and Organization at the School of Business and Economics, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Their research explores and from both a and physical disability lens. They focus on labour markets and the empowerment of neurominorities.

Pascal brings an insider perspective in research, in policy dialogue and in practice. Alongside their academic work, they volunteer at JongPIT, advocating for more equal opportunities for and by people with disabilities.

In our opening conversation, Philipa O.W. Biritwum ּ𖧧 with Pascal van Harten, we will not talk about inclusion as a slogan. We will look at leadership systems. At how organisations design for certain thinking styles. And at what happens when difference is framed as deviation instead of value.

If you care about how leadership decisions are shaped before they are even made, this conversation is for you.
