Take a tour of the anaerobic digestion facility we are building with Grosvenor Farms near Chester, UK.

The plant is designed around a circular principle. Manure and agricultural residues from the farm are converted into biomethane, while CO2 released during upgrading is captured and liquefied for industrial reuse.

The result is an estimated 8,500 tonnes of CO2 equivalent avoided each year, equal to taking 1,800 cars off the road, plus enough biomethane to heat 6,000 homes.

Bij HoSt Group is geen dag hetzelfde. Onze CEO (Jelle Klein Teeselink) en CFO (Arthur Vlaanderen) hebben door onze snelle groei hun handen vol en zoeken daarom een Executive Assistant die hen op topniveau ondersteunt.

Als hightech, snelgroeiend en internationaal bedrijf zoeken we iemand die overzicht bewaakt: agenda's, boardmeetings, internationale reizen en de dagelijkse gang van zaken rondom de directie. De rol is voor 32-40 uur per week, met minimaal 2 tot 3 dagen per week op kantoor.

We are growing in Riga and looking for a GL Accountant to join our finance team in Latvia. HoSt builds biogas, digestion, and biomass energy systems that clients across the world use to cut emissions and produce clean energy. Your work helps keep that growth on solid financial footing.

In this role, you take care of the accounting for our main Latvian entity, run the full bookkeeping for two group companies, and handle reporting to both local authorities and our international head office.

Meet the newest additions to HoSt Group! With many new colleagues from many different nationalities and areas of expertise joining us over the past months, we hosted the second onboarding day of the year to officially welcome them.

We started the day with a knowledge session about our history, culture, and comprehensive technology portfolio, followed by a visit to Bioenergy Next Garden, our CHP plant in Bemmel, the Netherlands. We ended the day in the canteen with a drink, where everyone had the opportunity to get to know their new colleagues.

A first look at a new anaerobic digestion and biogas upgrading facility at Grosvenor Farms, on the Eaton Estate near Chester, UK.

Developed together with Grosvenor Farms, the plant will convert around 150,000 tonnes of manure and agricultural residues each year into biomethane for the UK national gas grid. About 90 percent of the feedstock comes directly from the farm, turning local waste streams into renewable energy.

Congratulations to our Bright Renewables and HoSt Bioenergy Systems team on 5 years in North America (NA).

Five years ago, HoSt and Bright NA started with four people in a single office. Bright's ambition was clear from the start: bring proven renewable gas technology to a growing North American market. Today, more than 30 Bright Renewables systems are commissioned across the U.S.

Over the same five years, HoSt set out with a simple goal: help customers turn organic waste streams into reliable renewable energy. Since then, the North American team has grown, the project portfolio has expanded, and producers have been helped to turn feedstock challenges into working anaerobic digestion systems across the region.

As Robert, CEO North America, puts it: "Who would have thought, sitting in a single office with the four of us, that HoSt USA would grow this fast? The past five years have brought their fair share of successes and challenges. But building a company is, above all, about building a team. Looking back, I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together."

Decarbonisation is taking shape. At our 25 MW wood waste-fired CHP plant in the Osnabrück region, key components are now coming together on site. Boiler, steel structure, and flue gas systems are being lifted into place, and the building is officially going up.

Once complete, the plant will deliver 30 tons of high-temperature steam per hour and save 65,000 tons of CO2 each year, powered fully by locally sourced waste wood.

Zwarte Cross is inmiddels een paar weken geleden, maar we kijken nog steeds met veel plezier terug op die dag. 🙌

Want je kunt veel verwachten op de Zwarte Cross.

Motorcross. Muziek. Zand. Bier.

Maar ook een talk over biomethaan, bio-CO₂ en e-methanol.

In de Zwarte Cross Universitent gingen we samen met bezoekers dieper in op wat er gebeurt met mest en andere organische reststromen.

Tijdens de talk ‘Van mest naar moleculen’ liet onze Head of Technology, Martin Bos, zien hoe je uit deze reststromen eerst biogas kunt produceren, dit kunt opwerken tot biomethaan en vervolgens ook de CO₂ kunt afvangen en benutten.

Maar daar stopt het niet. Biomethaan en CO₂ kunnen ook weer als grondstoffen dienen voor nieuwe toepassingen, zoals e-methanol.

Commissioning in Cremona, Italy! This repowering project has reached commissioning on the four primary digesters.

In collaboration with Ringas, we are revamping and upgrading three existing biogas plants in Northern Italy. The three projects will have a total capacity of 4,000 Nm3/h of biogas with an end-product of 2,200 Nm3/h of biomethane. Producing enough biomethane to power 70,000 people locally.

The first digesters are now up and running, producing electricity through a CHP. Next steps? First gas-to-grid once the plant is connected to the local gas grid.
