Together, we cycled around the world! 🌍

Moving forward is what we do, in our work and on our bikes. Over the past months, colleagues at our Dutch headquarters took part in the Tour de HoSt Group. The goal was to cycle the distance around the globe, one commute at a time. We made it, and we finished strong with a record 3,622 km in a single week.

A big thank you to everyone who joined. Whether you cycled every day or now and then, every kilometre counted.

The challenge is over, but the habit isn’t. Cycling to work means a healthier body, a clearer mind and fewer CO₂ emissions.

And the next stage is already coming up: our Dutch HQ is moving from Enschede to Hengelo! For many colleagues, that means a few extra kilometres on the daily ride. Good thing we’ve had plenty of practice.

No new finish line. Just keep cycling! 🚲

Back to our roots, in a very special month.😀

This October, HoSt Group turns 35. The same month, HoSt Group Netherlands moves into its new headquarters in Hengelo, the city where it all began. After 16 years in Enschede, we're coming home, to a building with room for our growing team.

Moving in is a great way to begin our anniversary year: a new home, ready for the next 35 years. The boxes are (almost) packed and we can't wait to get started.

Soon you'll find us at: Haaksbergerstraat 47, 7554 PA Hengelo, the Netherlands.

Fats from the food industry, sludge from slaughterhouses, wastewater from shipping. At Wabico, it all becomes biogas. ♻️

Last year, the site produced around 10 million cubic metres of biogas, upgraded and fed into the gas grid. That's enough to supply roughly 3,500 households with energy.

Meet Joost Loeffen, Team Lead Process at Wabico, one of the own-to-operate facilities of HoSt Group.

"You can directly see the result of what you are doing. That makes the work meaningful."

A warm welcome in a special month. 👋

This October, HoSt Group turns 35, and we're happy to celebrate it with a group of new colleagues who are ready to help shape the years ahead.

We started the day with a knowledge session about our history, culture, and comprehensive technology portfolio, followed by a visit to Bioenergy Next Garden, our CHP plant in Bemmel, the Netherlands. We ended the day in the canteen with a drink, where everyone had the opportunity to get to know their new colleagues.

Day 1 at POLECO 2026 in Poznań, and our team is excited to be here! 😀

At HoSt Group, we bring together expertise across renewable energy solutions, from biogas and biomethane to renewable natural gas and CO₂ recovery.

We’re looking forward to connecting with companies and partners in Poland, exchanging ideas and exploring how we can work together on projects that support the transition to a more sustainable energy system.

Working on a renewable energy project in Poland, or exploring what’s possible?

Come and meet our team at Pavilion 5, Stand 39. We’d be happy to hear about your project and explore where we can work together.

Around 10% of Chemnitz's district heating will soon come from a new 25 MW biomass CHP plant we are building for Eins Energie. The fuel is regional woody biomass, sourced within 250 kilometres of the site.

Emission performance sits at the centre of the design. The plant will run below 60 mg/Nm³ NOx, well under the legal limit of 200 mg/Nm³.

It is delivered under a 20-year Heat as a Service contract: HoSt finances, builds, owns, and operates the plant. Eins Energie receives renewable heat on predictable, economical terms, without having to invest in or run the facility itself.

From biogas to biomethane.

Three major biogas facilities in Northern Italy are being repowered into high-efficiency biomethane plants, a project we're delivering together with Ringas.

The scope? 20 anaerobic digesters, 4,000 Nm³/h of biogas capacity, and 2,200 Nm³/h of biomethane as the end product. HoSt supplies the full digestion technology from digester components to flare and oxygen generators, while Bright Renewables handles the biogas upgrading systems.

This project is a strong example of what the energy transition looks like in practice: transforming existing infrastructure into future-proof renewable gas production.

We're excited to tell you more about this, and about our broader work in Italy at Ecomondo 2026 in Rimini from 3–6 November. Come find us at stand 202B.
