What if we could apply the precision of living cells to the chemical industry? Project CLASSY, a FET Open Research and Innovation Action (RIA) joined together leading scientists with expertise in systems chemistry, biocatalysis and microfluidics to take ambitious steps to create a microfluidic platform that mimics the natural efficiency of cells. This could significantly reduce the carbon footprint of chemical processes.

In collaboration with the other partners of the project we developed a set of innovative microreactors that can house multiple catalysts and enzymes, similar to the way living cells produce complex molecules. This technology opens up new opportunities for sustainable chemical production and minimizes waste. 🔬

Read in our latest blog how Project CLASSY aimed to transform the chemical industry and contribute to a greener future: www.micronit.com/expertise/exploring-the-ambitious-goals-of-project-classy
