Met diep medeleven delen we het verdrietige nieuws dat Ronny van ’t Oever, oprichter van Micronit, is overleden. Ronny was de visionaire grondlegger van ons bedrijf, gedreven door zijn geloof in een toekomst waarin mensen gezond oud kunnen worden. Met Micronit wilde hij een blijvende, positieve impact in de gezondheidszorg teweegbrengen.

Zijn doorzettingsvermogen en vastberadenheid maakten hem tot een bijzonder en inspirerend persoon. We zullen Ronny ontzettend missen, maar zijn missie leeft voort in Micronit.

We wensen zijn vrouw Maaike, zijn kinderen Mirthe, Renske en Veerle, en de rest van de familie en vrienden veel sterkte met dit grote verlies.

What if we could apply the precision of living cells to the chemical industry? Project CLASSY, a FET Open Research and Innovation Action (RIA) joined together leading scientists with expertise in systems chemistry, biocatalysis and microfluidics to take ambitious steps to create a microfluidic platform that mimics the natural efficiency of cells. This could significantly reduce the carbon footprint of chemical processes.

In collaboration with the other partners of the project we developed a set of innovative microreactors that can house multiple catalysts and enzymes, similar to the way living cells produce complex molecules. This technology opens up new opportunities for sustainable chemical production and minimizes waste. 🔬

The Smart Multi-Well Plate, developed by the Moore4Medical consortium, is setting a new standard in Organ-on-a-Chip (OoC) solutions! This open platform is designed to seamlessly integrate OoC devices into existing biological and pharmaceutical workflows, offering a plug-and-play solution that tackles key challenges in drug development and disease research.

By combining standardization, configurability, automation, and scalability, the Smart Multi-Well Plate opens up new possibilities in biomedical research, making drug development faster, more efficient, and more cost-effective.

Micronit has made a substantial contribution to this project, aligning with our mission to make complex technology more accessible and accelerate new innovations in healthcare.
