As a creator of paper film props and re-enactment documents, I often come across repros on the internet that are made with the wrong size paper or incorrect materials. Many WWII documents are printed on standard A4 paper, even though this was not a common format at the time. The type of paper used a...

In the spirit of daring to ask, here's the following. The person who wrote the script for the film talks about German soldiers taking the soldier's oath, which is on paper. He then writes that an officer signs the certificates for that oath (or declaration of honor). That has to be shown. I have to make those certificates or declarations, which are then signed. My question now is who can help me with this. Were there indeed certificates with the Oath that were signed or was that another document? And if so, what did that look like? Are there any examples of this?

Today was another productive day. File folders made for both the German and the allied side and forms that still need to be filled in. What still needs to be done are reports on the battle for the Scheldt, and a weather report for Operation Infatuate I and II. A loss report from the Canadian army at the Sloedam. Then letters from Montgomery to Eisenhower and vice versa. A German marching order (I still need to research what that looked like. Who can help me with examples?). Then tomorrow I'll get to work on making stamps (TOP SECRET, EYES ONLY, GEHEIM, etc.). A lot of time goes into doing research, to find the right papers and examples, but it's also fun if you get to do it on assignment. The only problem is that you don't get too much time for it. Strict deadlines because of the shooting schedule. And the funny thing is, once you're busy, more and more is added, but the time that remains. Some props will be close up in the picture, so it has to look correct. Who knows, after I'm done, some things might end up in the webshop. What would you like to see in the webshop?

For a film production I am making various papers. There was also a request to make a German Dienstpass. The inside is the same as the Reisepass (Passport), only the cover is different. It is grey/green in colour and instead of Reisepass it says Dienstpass. Now looking for suitable paper for the cover.

I am slowly getting things back on track. I have been asked for a while whether certain items that have been "Out of Stock" for a long time will be made again. For now, French ID cards have been made again, but I also want to pick up other items again. Especially the German items that are "Out of Stock". A lot is made by hand and boxes are cut out with a cutting plotter. However, this process takes a very long time before I have cut out a box, scored and glued together. And if you are going to make about 50 boxes... So, I am considering having dies made for the boxes, but unfortunately they cost a lot of money. But it would speed up the production of the boxes. Okay, more to come...

I would love to see what you all wish for. Write your wish list below...

Today I added a number of products to stock. The coming days I will see if I can make Esbit boxes, since there is a lot of demand for them. Also the AB64 Paybooks, the British Players and other cigarette boxes. There are still 53 products "Out of Stock", I hope to replenish them all soon. And then look at new products, such as the Krafts Knรคckebrot that I made yesterday. Then take product photos and place them in the webshop. Still a lot of work to do.
