🌍 10th December – Human Rights Day

As we conclude the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, we remember that gender-based violence (GBV) is not just a social issue—it is a violation of human rights. Every person has the right to live free from violence, exploitation, and abuse, yet too many people, particularly women and children, continue to suffer.

✊ Let’s reaffirm our commitment to creating a world where human rights are protected, where gender equality is not just a dream but a reality, and where no one faces violence simply because of their gender, age, or identity.

💪 Join us in advocating for human rights, justice, and a future where gender-based violence is a thing of the past. Together, we can make it happen.

🌍 7th December – Access to Justice for GBV Survivors

No one should have to suffer in silence. Today, we emphasise the urgent need for equal access to justice for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). Survivors, especially women and children, must have access to legal protections, support services, and a justice system that holds perpetrators accountable.

⚖️ Barriers to justice, including fear of stigma, lack of resources, and discriminatory practices, must be dismantled. Survivors deserve a fair and transparent process that prioritises their safety, well-being, and rights.

💬 Let’s raise our voices in support of equal justice for all and ensure that every survivor has access to the resources and legal assistance they need.

🌍 5th December – Faith-Based Organizations and GBV

Faith-based organizations play a vital role in addressing gender-based violence (GBV). These institutions are often the first places survivors turn to for support, guidance, and healing. Today, we acknowledge their powerful influence in combating violence, offering support, and fostering community healing.

🙏 The role of faith leaders is essential in changing attitudes, challenging harmful cultural practices, and promoting a culture of respect, dignity, and justice for all individuals, particularly women, children, and persons with disabilities.

🛑 Lets work together with faith communities to end GBV, provide support to survivors, and create spaces of healing and empowerment.

🌍 3rd December – International Day of Persons with Disabilities
Today, we stand in solidarity with individuals with disabilities, especially women and girls, who continue to experience gender-based violence (GBV) at alarming rates. Persons with disabilities are more vulnerable to violence, yet their voices are often unheard.

🔴 We must change this. As we observe this important day, we call for greater inclusion, understanding, and action. Gender-based violence is not just a violation of individual rights, but a systematic failure to protect the most marginalised in society.
💪 Let’s create a future where persons with disabilities can live free from violence and discrimination. It’s time for accessible support systems that ensure safety and healing for survivors.
✨ Join us in amplifying their voices: Stand up, speak out, and advocate for gender equality, disability rights, and a world free from violence.

🟥 World AIDS Day - December 1 🟥
Today, on World AIDS Day, we join others to raise awareness about the ongoing global HIV/AIDS epidemic and its impact on children. As part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign we also shed light on the crucial link between gender-based violence and HIV infection.

Women and girls are disproportionately affected by both violence and HIV. Gender-based violence—whether physical, sexual, or emotional—greatly increases a woman's risk of acquiring HIV. Survivors of violence are often denied their rights to healthcare, education, and protection, and many face increased vulnerability to HIV due to power imbalances, unsafe sexual practices, and lack of access to preventive measures.

On this World AIDS Day, let’s commit to:
1. Breaking the Silence: Speak out against gender-based violence and its role in the spread of HIV/AIDS.
2. Supporting Survivors: Empower those who have experienced violence and provide access to the resources they need to heal and protect their health.
3. Education & Prevention: Advocate for sexual and reproductive health education, gender equality, and access to healthcare for all women and girls.

The fight against HIV/AIDS is not just about treatment; it’s also about prevention, empowerment, and equality. Together, we can end both the stigma of HIV and the violence that fuels it.

Let’s honor the lives of those affected by HIV/AIDS including children and take action to create a world where violence, stigma, and discrimination are no longer barriers to health and dignity.

🟣 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence 🟣
On November 25 2024, we marked International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The day kick started the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. This is not just a campaign; it is a call to action to put an end to violence against women and girls.

At NdiriANI we raise our voices too, STANDING UP, SPEAKING OUT and COMMITTING to being part of the solution to end gender-based violence. We recognise that GBV harms children in profound ways. It impacts their overall wellbeing, development, and life outcomes.

Together let’s amplify our efforts to:
👉 Break the silence on gender-based violence.
👉 Support survivors.
👉 Advocate for accountability and justice.
👉 Educate, empower, and uplift each other in fighting gender based violence.

🌍 Happy World Children’s Day! 🌟
At NdiriANI, we believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe, supportive environment where their rights are protected, their voices are heard, and their futures are bright. Today, on World Children’s Day, we stand in solidarity with children everywhere to raise awareness about their rights and advocate for a world where all children not only thrive but reach their full potential.

💡 As child rights advocates and social workers, we are committed to championing the wellbeing of every child, helping ensure they have the care, safety and access to services they need to flourish.

🤝 Whether it's through consultancy or hands-on service provision, we seek to empower communities, organisations, and governments to create child-centered solutions that put children first.

Join us in the movement to protect and promote the rights and well-being of children today and every day. Together, we can build a future where every child has the chance to dream big and achieve their fullest potential.
