Mine Kafon Lab is a design and engineering company based in the Netherlands, specialised in creating Now, the Mine Kafon Project is bigger than just an object.

In 2011, as a graduation project from the Design Academy Eindhoven, The Netherlands, Massoud created the Mine Kafon. It is a wind powered spherical device that can roll across fields and detonate landmines on contact. In 2013 the company Hassani Design BV was created, establishing the Mine Kafon R&D Lab; it is the playground where innovation happens. With a multidisciplinary team, sustainable solu

tions for environmental and social problems are developed. Starting as an art object, the Mine Kafon is a concept that evolved as an important tool to raise global awareness in a neglected topic: the landmines problem. Our goal is to make a safer, faster and cheaper solution than the existing technologies. We want to involve the industry in this humanitarian project in order to get rid of the landmines as fast as possible. It should also be systematic and reliable at the end. It is a huge challenge but we believe it is also possible.
