Great to be in Mumbai last week for the 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗼 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. A strong and well-organized event that brought together logistics professionals from across the region and beyond.

Together with Menno Douwes Dekker, Marijana Nikolova, and Dominic Dsouza, we had the chance to meet many familiar and new faces and share ideas about the future of logistics.

Thanks to everyone we connected with, and to the organizers for a successful show.

We were thrilled to once again join industry leaders at the 𝗔𝗣𝗟𝗔 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 in Cancún, Mexico; a key event for the Latin American petrochemical and chemical sector. As always, it was an incredible opportunity to exchange ideas and strengthen partnerships.

Last week we welcomed our partner 𝗫𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗮 to our Netherlands HQ for a joint workshop. Together, we explored how data transparency and neutral freight benchmarking can support better decision-making and stronger supply chain outcomes.

The discussions touched on:
· Aligning contract strategy with market developments
· Managing volatility with index-based pricing
· Building internal alignment across teams

We’re grateful for the open exchange of knowledge and perspectives. Sessions like these help us grow together with our partners, while keeping customer needs and market realities at the center.

𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀

Last week, our NewPort office in China led the organization of a comprehensive emergency drill for the transport of dangerous goods — with several of our tank containers playing a key role.

Co-organized with Yongjie Yuanxin Container Service, the scenario simulated a hazardous material leak (isopropylamine) during road transport. NewPort China developed the drill plan, prepared the script, and served as the central coordinator between the transportation company and the depot.

Under NewPort's guidance and technical support, all parties worked together to safely contain the simulated leak and transfer the hazardous material to another tank.

This full-scale exercise — involving vehicle rerouting, emergency cooling, and coordinated containment — was more than a test of procedures. It was a demonstration of how collaboration, planning, and the right equipment can strengthen safety across the logistics chain.

We're proud to take an active role in initiatives like this, where safety isn’t just a priority — it’s something we put into practice.
