Beste Graslandboer op inspiratiebezoek bij Barenbrug✨️

Als trotse hoofdsponsor van de competitie Beste Graslandboer nodigde Barenbrug de winnaar en twee genomineerden – Johan Mulder, Jur Huetink en Job van de Water – uit voor een inspirerend bezoek aan het NEC-stadion. Hier kregen zij een exclusief kijkje achter de schermen van de ‘heilige grasmat’ en ontdekten hoe intensief beheer, waaronder regelmatig doorzaaien en beluchten, bijdraagt aan de kwaliteit van de grasmat.⚽️

Daarnaast bezochten de veehouders een Barenbrug-proefveldlocatie in Homoet. Hier deden ze nieuwe inzichten op over graslandmanagement, zoals het belang van het bemesten van grasland met Engels raaigras en klaver.

Van stadion tot weiland: goed gras vraagt om kennis, aandacht en de juiste keuzes. Barenbrug helpt boeren én fieldmanagers naar het hoogste niveau.🌱

Grubs can cause serious damage to grasslands. In this video, we follow the different elements involved in our trials — from beetle flight monitoring with traps to counting eggs, larvae and grubs in the soil across our trial locations.

How do you measure if a field is truly full of life? With an insect camera! 📸🐞

This smart device features a bright yellow panel that attracts insects. As soon as they land, the camera takes a photo. AI then analyses the images, telling us exactly which insects are flying around our trials and how many.
This allows us to monitor multiple trials at the same time, without someone constantly being out in the field.

The result? Reliable, objective data, perfect for supporting concepts like our Happy Lawn.🌼
And it works: our trials show that Happy Lawn attracts 33% more insects than a conventional lawn.
