We are very happy to support KP Labs technology demonstration project selected to fly to the ISS.

Their Leopard Data Processing Unit (DPU) will be accommodated and operated inside our ICE Cubes Facility in Columbus for testing and evaluating AI/ML algorithms in authentic space conditions. 🚀

The LeopardISS Cube aims to
💻 enhance edge computing capabilities
🤖 facilitate autonomous data processing in-orbit
🛰 help establish space-oriented data centers.

Designed for high-efficiency computing, LeopardISS will utilize the ISS as a testbed to showcase, validate and develop KP Labs’ technology, for international users to test software & process algorithms powered by Artificial intelligence (AI).

We cannot wait to see the Leopard leap to the ISS and unleash its computing capabilities for the advancement of space applications!

🐆 🚀 Leopard DPU leci na ISS!

Nasz eksperyment, 'LeopardISS', został wybrany jako jeden z eksperymentów, które będą częścią Polskiej Misji na ISS zaplanowanej na początek 2025 roku. Oznacza to, że nasza Jednostka Przetwarzania Danych Leopard (DPU) będzie działać bezpośrednio z Międzynarodowej Stacji Kosmicznej, testując algorytmy sztucznej inteligencji i uczenia maszynowego w rzeczywistych warunkach kosmicznych.

Rola Leoparda polega na zwiększeniu możliwości obliczeniowych i wspieraniu tworzenia kosmicznych centrów danych poprzez ułatwienie autonomicznego przetwarzania danych na orbicie. Przyniesie to korzyści nie tylko naszym bieżącym badaniom, ale również zapewni platformę dla naukowców, przedsiębiorców i studentów do weryfikacji ich technologii kosmicznych bez konieczności wysyłania satelitów.

Dzięki współpracy z Politechnika Poznańska pierwsza faza na ISS skupi się na opracowaniu narzędzi do mapowania obrazów 3D, które mogą być aplikowalne dla przyszłych łazików planetarnych. Po tym inni partnerzy będą mogli przetestować swoje algorytmy, oceniając ich skuteczność bezpośrednio na orbicie.

The ICE Cubes team is thrilled to support Extremo Technologies in flying their experiment and hardware to the ISS. 🚀

The “Space Volcanic Algae” payload will be hosted inside our ICE Cubes Facility in Columbus, on a mission to cultivate and characterize oxygen production, the genetic and metabolic adaptations of two types of microalgae strains.

The experiment will look into the ability of extremophilic volcanic microalgae to survive in and adapt to microgravity conditions, in view of advancing
⚗ environmental closed-loop life support systems applications and
💊 space medicine for terrestrial applications and upcoming human space ventures.

🔵 The ICE Cubes Service sent Gator GATSBY to fly onboard the ISS to study the attitude of the Faraday instability in reduced gravity onboard the ISS. 🛰
🔵 This research and its on-going analysis can add to the improvement of technics in substrates ‘pattern, pulsatile fluid sensors, and heat transfer in micro-geometries 💙

Matthew heads the R&D Department of a global microchip production company. He has been trying to improve the microchips they manufacture, but he hits a brickwall every time.

🔵 He decides to think out of the box and try something different. While exploring other avenues, he comes across the ICE Cubes Service website.

🔵 After going through the journal articles, he realizes that this might be the missing link in his research. Apparently he can perform experiments in an environment where there is no buoyancy, convection or sedimentation!
